I just think Chelsea are in a position now in which they have to prioritize one competition over the other, if they go for both they will fall flat on their face in my opinion.

Their result tomorrow will give a good indication of where their priority wil lie, if they get a decent result then I expect them to chase the Champions League and rest players at Liverpool.

I think Mourinho knows he isn't going to win the league though as they are 5 points behind.

chelsea wont chuck the towel in, if they were to win it there would be 2 points in it, liverpool could draw at palace
If Chelsea beat Liverpool then they still need Liverpool to lose one of their last 2 games and for us to drop points too, no chance they'll win the league.

Do you think Liverpool will find Crystal Palace away that easy?

I don't
we should of got a draw at Liverpool and we should of beaten Sunderland.. In hindsight that's 4 points right there we should have in the bag.

Or 3 points perhaps.

Watching the last two games, I'd be stunned if we won all our remaining fixtures. That's just realistic, not pessimistic. We don't seem to have any momentum.

Meh we walked the game last night after quite a lot of people on here started worrying that we might not make 3rd.

Palace away is a different game especially without Silva but hopefully he'll be there, as will Yaya. So despite not being totally match fit we could have a full strength team out. I expect Pellers to go 4-5-1, keeping Garcia in with Ferny, moving Yaya further forward and only playing with Serg up front.

Too much "If Chelsea beat Liverpool, and we win our remaining matches ..." . There's more chance for Chelsea to get into the CL-final than getting back in the title race. And the chance we take 6 points out of the upcoming awaylegs is as slim as Chelsea beating Liverpool.
Fact is we handed the title to Liverpool by giving away a comedygoal after clawing our way back into the game at Anfield, and than had a big let-off vs Sunderland, a game that in the end we still should have won if Nasri had the brain to simply tab it away instead of hoofing it into the 2nd tier.
I know we're not out of it but I remain realistic until the moment Liverpool actually let us back in and we actually take the opportunity if they do. Up until than I can only hope for the best ...

Games aren't won or lost on paper. Chelsea will not simply roll over. Even with a second string they can get a result at Anfield. They aren't likely to rest too many key personnel. Every player will try and perform to get a start in the second leg. Mourinho won't allow them to simply turn up and not perform. I think they will play a similar team to the one they played at Old Trafford. With no recognised striker, Matic and Luiz in the middle and look to just counter. They need to win the game, but I think they will be happy to play the defensive style and make the most of free kicks and counter attacks. It is about time Skrtel was penalised for his consistent underhand tactics. Mourinho will make that quite clear to the refs. Don't underestimate his ability to get luck on his side. I fully expect Liverpool to drop points, if they don't score early they will start to wobble. And if they drop points to Chelsea the wheels might fall off.

We just have to win our games. Easier said than done. Palace will be difficult but we just need to be wise to their counter attacking. We keep getting picked off on the counter and Palace will play exactly that way. Goodison is anyones guess. They are playing well but can be beaten. We will need to put in a really strong performance to win the game. But I think we can do it. They will need to win it and that might play into our hands. Can only hope.
