Chelsea - Blue on Blue (again)..

The only surprising element is the underlying belief some have that supporting the same club as yourself somehow makes a total and utter dickhead any less than a total and utter dickhead.

Glad it didn't escalate to an even worse situation though.

I really don't get those that go to away matches and get into such a state they don't even realise there's a match on.
I’ve seen it at home matches. At the Fulham League Cup game I was in the South Stand rather than my usual spot in 109. There were empty seats in the row right in front of me at kick off and after a few minutes some lads came in and stood there. None appeared to have any interest in what was going on in the game. They were chatting loudly and very animatedly, even when Diaz scored the first goal, which made me suspect they’d been on the beak. A few other lads joined the:until there were 7 of them in 4 seats. They disappeared well before half-time, came back after about 60-65 m8nutes then went again around 75 minutes. There was no mither from them other than me having to listen to them chatting shit all the time they were there but I could imagine they’d be much the same sort of scrotes had they been challenged.

Sad to hear all of this Dodge, it's the sort of thing that sadly really knocks your faith in mankind for 6 for quite some time. Good to hear that a lot of honest blues were able to assist though, shows there are always more decent folk than utter bellends, luckily.

This isn't confined to football, its a problem in society in general.

Far too many cvnts are walking the streets and its making this world a very unpleasant place.

That is all too true. You see it at places other than football. Gigs, theatres, movies, pubs all the time. Ignorant scrotes with zero respect for anyone, and all too ready to kick off. It has always happened to a degree, I'm aware of that, but it's certainly becoming the 'norm' rather than the exception.

Happening across society more and more.

Dick heads at every turn and too many soft arses in society who aren't willing to stand up against them and tell them to fucking do one (don't mean you by that Dodge, haha!)

Thanks for the replies, although as a member of a Supporters Club, I don't believe they were, but who am I to know the finer detail.

The bloke who originally kicked off was just waiting for a chance to have a go at someone. He was half sat on the back of the seat, looking at the floor, so he had to kind of wake up from his slumber, then started the cockney tourist shite. Obviously linking the fact we were late to arrive to some presumption that we were your stereotypical JCL types who couldn't be arsed to get there on time. When I advised him that the last time I checked, Sale was in Gtr Manchester, he started a tirade at anyone in general, cockney this, cockney that etc, with an obvious bee in his bonnet about London games in general.

Sad individual, who then enlisted the help of his son and his two younger mates, who were more than happy to wade in.

Got to say, that the stewards were far more proactive than most, and they got them out, but it was still a few minutes until any action was taken. The poster who mentioned the "one punch" scenario is dead right, and thats the reason most sane people avoid trouble, especially in such a confined space between seating. The youngster who ended up on the floor in the melee, ended up about two rows down and was lucky not to be hurt.

In Lyon, when we had the sing-off between the Wallace & The Elephant there was one young scrote who actually started to take it seriously, calling City fans out because they were not on his side of the road, I kid you not. Took exception to the Northwich Blues, mouthing off about them not being Mancs, and took a lighter to their flag. Off his rocker.

Sometimes, you just can't make this shit up..

There is an increasing problem with coked-up scrotes at away matches who want to stand with their pals in other people's seats. Their behaviour is less predictable and more aggressive than those who are just pissed up and usually just stagger around incoherently. I helped break up a scrap between two young Blues at West Ham and they didn't know what time of the day it was. I am not trying to be judgemental and whenI was younger I sometimes behaved like a dickhead but these days there are lots more families in the crowd and they don't deserve to be subject to these sort of incidents. Stewarding at away matches is mostly shit and I think City should do more to police the situation.

Thought I was going to have a problem at Spurs / Wembley earlier this season with a few lads standing at our seats. I said that there are 4 of us and we want to 'sit' (stand !!) together. They questioned why I should be bothered so I just repeated what I'd said and squeezed and jostled us in using the minimum amount of force. After a bit of 'why, what does it matter, we can all watch from here' thankfully they moved elsewhere without too much fuss although I was ready for a row. Maybe I'm an old fossil now but I don't mind if it's just me and one or two squeeze in but when you're with others it's a no-go as far as I'm concerned

I'm pretty sure that it's not just City fans who fight with each other,
However it could definitely be better self policed, if enough people felt motivated to do something about it.

I was sat on the Front Row of the Upper Tier, ironically with John Stapleton to my right, and four young lads to my left, (one of whom spent the whole game slapping the advertising boards immediately below him).

I didn't have a problem with the noise, or even the lads refusing to sit, but then again, I had a perfect view. and certainly better than those behind, who subsequently also had to stand.
However, I soon found myself questioning how lads in their late teens/ early 20s could possibly acquire enough loyalty points. I also recognised them from the Imperial Pub earlier in the afternoon, and I'm well aware from which Supporters Club they belong.

I'm not for one moment linking this Supporters Club with the scrotes who confronted the OP. I just feel that too many blues keep quiet when they know exactly what happened, and who was at fault.

What you've mentioned is significantly different to the original post. It sounds like those lads were trying to make some atmosphere and get behind the team. What's the problem with that?

Nothing worse on an away day and you get a seat next to an arsehole.
Last season Spurs at Wembley I got landed next to 4 arseholes.
Saw them pre match throwing beer about the concourse.
Though arseholes, imagine my dismay when I was next to them.
Luckily the fans in the area stood up to them the moment they started.
Shut up pronto and went somewhere else at half time.
Photo takers after the 2nd Chelsea goal got on my nerves on Saturday.
Loads bottom tier.

The Blues around us, to a man, had our backs, to the extent that the focus turned to the guys behind us. I have no doubt that I'd have copped a cheap shot (or worse, the mrs) if we'd been left to our own devices. Trust me, they'd have got one back, but 4 onto one doesn't produce a good outcome.

Listen, I really don't want to sound like a snowflake, but I'm sick of seeing it at away matches. I don't care what anyone says its deffo getting worse. There was a time where you'd go away as one brotherhood and very rarely saw this going on. Nowadays, in certain circumstances, its fellow Blues you're more wary of.

Sickens me.
Dodge I wasn't having a go at you far from it and you are far from a snowflake. I was just highlighting the fact that the Blues around you stepped in to help.
