Chelsea - Blue on Blue (again)..

Terrible. And the fact is if you were with another bloke he’d have likely said nowt.

Is it me or are football fans regressing again ? Maybe we just hear about it more again but seems a lot of fuckwits behaving like fuckwits again lately

Some have never moved on, unfortunately. I was thinking about the banana thrown at the Arse v Spurs game and thought, along with this incident, that they should both have been filmed in Technicolor, Eastman Colour, Cinemascope and HD quality. It should be pretty clear who these turds are and a prosecution and lifetime ban applied. I can be verbally aggressive at a match but solely directed at the Whistling Wankers, but no matter what is happening on the pitch or in the stands that kind of behaviour needs dealing with as firmly as any crime on the street!

Blokes like the Chelsea knob, Colin Wing, clearly havent moved on, hed have been right in the thick of hooliganism in the 70s and 80s, probably still bored people to death with his stories of how 3 of them took 300 Stoke , or such shit.

But i see more and more young lads now acting the big un. Full of Charlie, stella, bouncing around because theyve seen in it on Football Factory. Football fans make me cringe quite often, including fellow blues

Weird thing with this is, back to the OP. He got called a cockney so and so.

Well, turns out he isn't, but so what if he was?

My dad was from Chorlton, but I was born in Wigan. My kids will be raised in Chorley. But if we made different decisions that may well have been Edinburgh. They would still be blues.

There is a bloke sits near me from Portugal, married a Manc girl. He gets stick sometimes for not being a blue. Weird

It's the Columbian marching powder, beer and kids, as people have said, but also think this "I'm a bigger City fan than you" that comes in to a lot of these issues, especially with accents.

It's weird, for some people supporting City is a competition. Perfect example is fair few years ago now, talking to one on my dad's "mates" in the pub after a few beers, he was trying to tell me he was a bigger City fan than me because he'd been going since the 70's, even though I was just laughing at him pointing out it isn't a competition and I'd only been born in 82 so was a bit difficult to support them before I was born. He was drunk, (and was a bit of a d1ck anyway) but he was being deadly serious.

This is the problem, no City fan is any bigger or better than anyone else, even though some will absolutely disagree with that statement. We all have different stories, different ages, different distances to the ground, different reasons why we support City, and no one is any "better" than the other, it's farcical.

So you get a d1ckhead hearing a none-Manc accent and thinks that makes them a "better" blue than them and therefore they have more right to be there than them.

I get the whole "we don't want to become taken over by glory-hunters" but I can't differentiate between genuine fans and glory hunters without interrogating them, and who made me the effing judge to begin with, I've only been supporting them since 82, probably later as I don't remember much before I was three!?!

Focusing more on the accent thing than people kicking off.

Times have changed, tickets are becoming increasingly harder to come by yet at Liverpool away you see a row of about 9 east asian lads who clearly haven't been to enough games to come by those tickets via points, you see half a block of Belgians at Arsenal, Chelsea at the weekend there was a couple from the south coast a few rows infront of me on their first away trip, all these people through no fault of their own are getting dogs abuse from a ccent hunk of the more seasoned supporters because there's frustration at tickets being taken away from the most loyal and sold to the highest bidders, they're the only faces the people being pushed out can see as City are very underhanded with tickets and won't disclose exactly where they all go so they get the abuse when all they've done is pay through the roof to have an opportunity to experience what we as regulars are used to.

Sadly, anybody with an accent at away games, particularly big ones will get some comments now regardless of whether they've got 20k points and go every game or if they've paid 10 times the odds on some predatory website for their first away experience. It's not right but I think it's something that's only going to continue and probably even escalate as time goes on and City continue to syphon off tickets. It's up to City to either stop doing it or at the very least be transparent about it

I agree with the points but it is kind of defending the bell ends in question. We all know this is a problem with City and has been seen the last few years. It annoys me although because I am not a complete fucking caveman idiot I can keep my comments to myself and not randomly attack a random person. If it troubles you that much then get in touch with City and voice that complaint. The fact these dick heads don't have a brain cell between them is the reason why they don't. Sadly as seen on these pages it has also stopped proper blues going to games because they are sick of these twats following us. I said it years ago and got dogs abuse and it is getting worse. Maybe that's why City are giving the tickets elsewhere? Some c*nt with 20 odd thousand loyalty points may also be a complete and utter scum bag.

The accent thing really resonates with me. I am 26 years old and have no family history or ties to Manchester whatsoever. I live over 4 hours away from Manchester yet I have supported city for as long as I can remember. The reason why I started supporting city was simple, I wanted to be different, everyone down here supports united or Liverpool and I didn’t want to be like them. I can remember watching the derby game at Maine road on tv when beckham scored a free kick thinking to myself I like that blue team.

My first city game in person was away at Chelsea in 2003 when I was 10. My dad got us tickets in the Chelsea end and we lost the game 5-0, I was crying into my hands as Chelsea fans around me consoled me. After the game I found myself by the city coach as Shaun goater came over and signed my programme, I still have that programme framed in my house.

I have over the years had many city fans call me a plastic or a glory hunter or cockney with my favourite being at an away game at Sunderland. It takes 6 and half hours to get to Sunderland from where I live and the kick off was lunchtime on a Sunday yet apparently according to some “proper”blue I wasn’t welcome or a proper fan.

I have been diagnosed with borderline perosnsility disorder and suffer with severe aniexty and when I feel able mentally I go to as many games as my health allows, I went to the home game against Bournemouth and only lasted 25 minutes before my aniexty got the better of me and I had to leave.

This brings me to my point, I sometimes feel intimated and like I don’t belong or deserve to support city because I’m not from Manchester this is particularly bad at away games. I really appreciate the local fans who have supported city through thick and thin all the history of this great club. I know people won’t understand why I support city but I genuinely feel so much love for this club they have given me so many happy memories both on and off the pitch.

I apologise for the long message and I hope I have articulated my point in a manner people can understand I struggle with stuff like this but I just wanted to get this off my chest. Thanks

City will never offer traceability or transparency on away ticket sales because they are accountability/corrupt with their own corporate angle. I would say for 3k away tickets - 60% go to those with Points, 10% to S.Cs, 10% to friends of the club/players/sponsors and 20% to 3rd parties/ticket sites/corporate
