Probably you are right,we all know how stubborn Pep is though.

As for the rookie keeper,I thought he was going off to the side for a piss at the time of their goal.

Just fortunate that nobody shelled out money to watch it . Don’t know how we can blame fatigue when eight of them had midweek off . The lack of effort and desire let the manager and fans down big style .

It's the full-backs he picked that lost the game for me. Such a high line with probably our slowest back four was suicidal. Luckily Chelsea mainly stayed away from the exposed Mendy and played down our right side. Walker on the pitch and they wouldn't have had a sniff, again.

Having slept on it I think the reaction to Pep from some on here is over the top and a bit spoilt. This same rotation now has us in the CL semis. To be brutal I don't care much if we win the domestic cups because we've won them so many times recently. I want to see us throw everything at the CL and that's clearly the tournament he's prioritising too.

The draw screwed us up big time.
Not only did Chelsea have an extra day's rest and an easier game ( which they could afford to lose and did), they were at home whereas we were travelling back from Germany which makes the difference in recuperation virtually two days.
In the circumstances Pep's eight changes were inevitable and his options were Iimited although I still think he made some errors in team selection but that's another discussion.

Tiredness is not just physical, it's the mental aspect.

The traveling alone is exhausting.

Added to the fact the players have little or no match preparation, leads to games like yesterday.

Haven't chelsea played something like 2 games less.
