Part of the problem is that we're getting into good positions but not creating goalscoring chances from them.
I'm reading about us possibly scoring four or five, but we only had three shots on target; the same as Chelsea. Our xg was 0.99, Chelsea's was 1.73. That's us as potential champions against a side in disarray.

What annoyed me was that we hadn't been fantastic but we'd done enough to take the 3 points. However our game management was non-existent in those last few minutes, with completely unnecessary risks being taken instead of controlling the ball and taking the sting out of the game.

The worst thing was Donnarumma going long with a goal kick with just minutes of injury time left. That went out of play and gave the ball back to Chelsea, who went on and scored. Ederson used to do this as well so presumably they're told to do it, or at least not told not to.

Said to my lad who was there it looked like an end to end slug fest on telly. Should have played possession like 2-3 years ago and passed them to death. Looked like City were mad for a second goal when it wasn’t necessary.

I was extremely disappointed with our performance in the first 30mins. They haven’t got a manager, several players missing and hadn’t won in weeks - yet we started slowly and made it easy for them to settle

Then, in the second half they gained more confidence and it’s a very good job Neto had a shit game or we would have lost

Stones is always injured, marmoush has not been picked, lewis is average and not been picked, nico g needed a rest anyhow hes been overplayed.

Game killer for me was the STUPID pass into Haaland, from Foden, WHEN CHERKI WAS FREE AND CLEAR TO HIS RIGHT!!

Fucking pissed me off that and I knew then we'd drop points!

Spot on I sensed it too. Sometimes your gut feeling tells you they will score, and they did. Biggest issue was game management in injury time. We used to take it into the corner but justgave silly balls away that
gave them possesion.

Almost got over the line with a sub par performance until we decided to show how to not see a game out. Piss poor game management in the end cost us.

Pretty much everyone at the ground could sense we needed another goal because in the second half it felt like Chelsea were always going to nick a goal, particularly after Josko and Dias went off.

Only ourselves to blame for dropping more points today.

As it was always going to do due to the players never having a rest, either during the season or between seasons due to stupid internationals and the bloody World Club Cup.
We play too complex a game for players to flit in an out of the starting eleven.

A Quality Small Squad vs 2025/26 City Squad ? Does Pep have 11 quality players ? No fullbacks No replacement Striker No Players demanding a start

Stones has been poor when he's played, so has lewis, which bit of nico g overplayed and knackered do you not get. At most I would give you Kova, Doku comes on before Marmoush anyhow.
The depth isnt there end of. The drop off is too big.
