One thing Gary Neville did say in commentary that also might be worth watching is that he found at United when you got to the later stage of the CL that playing teams who just come and play (or not play) v you week after week hoping for one break to get a draw can make it harder to raise your game when needed and you are playing the top Euro sides after week after week of opposition not playing football against you.

The intensity issue could also come from winning the league early like Bayern did. I think we’ve got the bit between our teeth now.The chance to really make history.
 
Really strange they didn't play one of Morata or Giroud especially with no Fernandinho there to compete for the ariel ball. Their best chance of the game started with Alonso beating Walker in the air and they played from there. Hazard from the left would have seen more of the ball as well, not that I'm complaining. Despite the number of passes we made I think the main thing to take was our work when we lost it, De Bruyne Sane and Aguero still sprinting to close down in the last few minutes.
 
Thanks Chelsea. Conte gave us the game with his stupid tactics. That was like Newcastle parking the bus when 1-0 down
 
Analysis of our games is really bad for every game. Its always about the poor opposition rather that City do right and force them to be poor. Pundits in this country hardly delve into deeper tactics to show why they play like they do.

Neville and Tyler are horrendous dinosaurs.
 
Strange match, expected a lot more trouble from Chelsea which never materialised, not even after they went 1 down.
Gundogan was getting it again in the match thread for misplaced passes despite setting a new PL pass completion record...doh....shows how much some folks know..
And we win again, 3rd time in a week, with no goals conceded after games against Arsenal and Chelsea...what a splendid showing from the team.
And we win these games without Sterling which some people seem to find an unbelievable prospect....the guy is not indispensable so relax...we are a proper team and Bernando has come in a frankly been better than Raz since the start of 2018.
Central two performed very well and gave very little away.
Kun worked his socks off all match.
I can see Palace holding Utd tomorrow evening to complete a thoroughly satisfactory 8 days.

Tyler is. But Gary Neville is astute and fair and has praised City a lot.

There are some people over reacting to anything slightly critical he says.

But objectively he is Sky's best commentator by a mile.
