We should have won by more, but good last ditch defending kept us out.
Magnificent pressing when Chelsea had the ball and we tracked runners when they broke the press. Outstanding defending.

Zinc looks like he has played at left-back for ever. that is the value of PEP. Laporte will be good signing. but Otto deserves a big mention. i thought he would make way for one of the new signings. but he has become our Mr dependable his passing is immaculate and gives 100 pc thrilled for him now looks a £30 million pound steal

Totally agree, and he is such an hard bugger too, flippin heck he just takes being barged into and kicked as if it doesn’t hurt, top guy.

Totally dominated the game.. Chelsea didn't come to have a go and got what they deserved.
Wasn't a great spectacle but that's down to Chelsea trying to make sure we didn't batter them.
We made them look like a non league team and some of our passing was just brilliant.
Eddie's goal kicks are fucking amazing so much power and so accurate.
Defensively we were compact and made sure we didn't give them any chances.
Zinchenko looks better every game, Sane and the 2 Silva's ran their bollocks off as did Kun.
Considering we had played a final last week and a difficult game on Thursday we worked so hard.
What a fucking great team we have ...so proud to be a blue.

It's a bit of a joke with my season ticket neighbours that I'm always on edge until we get 2 ahead and don't relax fully until it's 3. Today was different. Our complete dominance and control with only 1 goal cushion meant I was completely relaxed throughout. At no point did it ever feel as though Chelsea would get back into it. Well done team and well done Pep for showing us there is more than one way to win a match.

On the Match day thread - at h/t Gundy was getting flack. 30 secs. into second half his forward pass led to Bernardo's goal.
Gundy did well. - 174 passes - more than any other player in PL history.

I think he will improve. He just needs to play it simple sometimes. Trying too hard maybe ? Gave the ball away a couple of times and set them up today.

At times in the 2nd half, City were just passing it around the back and wasting time.

I interpreted that game as a massive two fingers from Conte to his board. What was he doing putting Morata on in the last seconds of the game? Was that a serious attempt to salvage the game?

City were a tired team. Chelsea are in big trouble. Worse than under Mourinho. Then they had a title winning team in place, now they don't, and I'm pretty certain Hazard is going to play his contract down and get a move. He'd be mad to stay there now.
