Chelsea (H) | Post-Match Thread

I am struggling to understand what was actually going through Kun mind.

Great player, but his penalty technique has always been shit.

He has been lucky with a few.

As someone who has played a bit of football,i was always told if your penalty technique is not great. You dont go for the audacious,it is always hit low and hard to the corner every every time.

It felt like a selfish dont give a fuck, petulant kick.

Does he feel mistreated i wonder.

Razza definitely bailed him out also because he totally fucked up with that first touch. He seemed really narked.

Would not let him near the Final now sadly.
I used to play a bit of football too and as I used to score a lot of goals, I used to get told to take a penalty. I used to hit as hard as I could and make sure it was on target. Then, I decided to practice penalties, and hit them in the far right, top right corner, or dummy and pass to the left corner. I have never missed a penalty in my life. Granted, at a level that is nowhere near this but this reinforces the point at what the hell was he thinking?

When I read the team news I had a feeling we would lose going off what we have seen against Leeds and Chelsea in the FA Cup final, but then to come on to the post match thread and say Tuchel knows how to beat Pep and we may aswell give them the trophy is fucking ridiculous.

The team that has played Chelsea twice and let's be honest had passengers in it, still give them a game.

Our team in the finals will be the same one that just smashed PSG And made them look average. The same team all these fans was saying they was so proud of a couple of days before.

The funny thing about today was if that penalty is scored before half time, the chances are we go on to beat them with our backup players.
Totally agree. Lets see what happens when they play our best 11.

I think the problem is that he didn’t try to score but unfortunately fluff it, he tried to do a stupid party trick to make himself look cool, but fucked it up badly and embarrassingly.
We can all forgive a failure to achieve when honest endeavour has been applied but fucking about attempting a show-pony dink over the keeper when we really really needed a second goal to put our ribbons on the Premier League trophy - well that was the act of someone who put his vain-glory smack bang in front of our football club wining a major honour - he delayed or even possibly stopped us from wining a major trophy, made himself, and by reflection us, look stupid, and I’m glad he had the balls to do the decent thing and apologise.
I accept his apology, I love the guy and I happily forgive him, but I’m not going to deny it happened and I’m not going to pretend I was happy about it.

When you said dink OVER the keeper I stopped reading

Many going for the old poker face 'don't show your hand' ploy. We will line up as we did against PSG. We will play a false 9 because we don't have a striker who could hit a cows arse with a banjo.
We will try and dominate possession. FFS its bleeding obvious what our strategy will be.
Everyone knows how we play. Dortmund did, PSG did.
Knowing what an opponent's strategy is and being able to counter it is two different things.
Why give Chelsea two bites of the cherry at cracking it.

I agree with you.
There's a bunch of entitled, spoilt ingrates with the memory of a goldfish, and the footballing nous of a gatepost on here, who think they they know better than the best manager this club has ever had, and possibly the game has ever known and who think they can call out one of the the best strikers ever to grace not only this club but also but this league over a mistake in a game that wasn't even a must win game for us.
What are you talking about? I don't think anyone is calling out Pep on this one... I think everyone has a fantasy in their head that Aguero would score the winning goal in the final. After today's performance, he does not even deserve to be on the plane.

It was down to the players today to go over the line....

Maybe he was trying something different because last time he tried walloping it, he missed. My God, one mistake and you’re wailing as if he’d never done anything for us during his 10 years at the club. It’s you that should be ashamed, not him.

he’s saved us many many times - in really VITAL situations. This was a blip

You haven't read this thread properly.

It's for a reason that we're letting him go this season.

I just want to say that I am royally fucked off after today like many. Bad week for me and this has topped of an absolute mare. Maybe I shouldn't of posted what I did as it has obviously pissed a fair few people off but it is what it is. I can be a man and admit that. I love City and have done for 20 years. All I want is what is the best for them. I am no rag, I ain't mental and I anin't no troll. I would defo admit to being wrong if we won the final. I praise Pep more than I question him. I voiced my opinion when I should of obviously not, emotions are high after the game. The first place I think of coming after a game is here. Anyway, onto the final. C'mon City!

We all know how you feel mate - especially if you’re had a shit week in other areas.
But it’s not the most important game we had to win.
Keep the faith. COME ON YOU BLUES. (& Villa)

Going to avoid MSM/Rags etc.

More annoyed Pep has put unnecessary pressure on us.

2 defeats to them dont actually tell the real story.Like it was our B team and Pep having another Ranieri moment challenging his own genius that cost us.

Anti-City MSM dont give a fuck about that

We should have won this game, got the League done.Got in their Heads instead of them in ours.

He could have tinkered himself to death.

Just read this on another site.

There is a saying in the Army,"rehearsals are for fucking things up,then getting it right on the day"

I am running with that until 29th May.

Let MSM wank them selves silly over the prospect of us losing.

Pep is clearly playing Sun Tzu's art of war. At least that is what I am telling myself with regards to todays 5-1-4. Jesus and Sterling were tripping over each other. It was down to the players to finish it today. With all due respect, Chelsea were organised today and deserve to be in the final.

The thing that shocked me was that we had 0 out of 5 ball players on the pitch today.
