Yeah, I had a heavy night tbf.A lot of nasal congestion this morning.

Loathe to say it but it wouldn’t surprise me if the scum win all their remaining games…….
Practice makes perfect...My thoughts exactly. It beggars belief that the richest club in the world does not have a single member of its squad who is near totally reliable and confident at converting penalty kicks and hasn't had one since Yaya stopped being first choice.
Because they weren't rested, they were allowed to recover. Not the same thing.chance to put it to bed , at home , then rest all 11 if need be till the final. ah well what do I know .

Trying to play the Uberfan card claiming that if that defeat doesn't hurt you you aren't a proper blue.Glad I don't get King of the Kippax anymore if that's the standard.
God help us if it goes to penalties in the champs league final.
I like the cut of your jib.Trying to play the Uberfan card claiming that if that defeat doesn't hurt you you aren't a proper blue.
Fuck off. The reason the defeat hurt him is that his brain isn't equipped to see the bigger picture.
Tiredness doesn’t work like that. In hindsight the semi final was lost due to De Bruyne and his lack of zest. And his injury was down to him not picking his feet up and turning like he would if he was fresh. The question is, why couldn't we have played near enough our best 11 yesterday, & spent the next 20+ days as champions, resting & rotating players as we prepare for the CL Final?
It keeps crossing my mind that this will be our destiny.God help us if it goes to penalties in the champs league final.
Lol :-)God help us if it goes to penalties in the champs league final.
The other factor that nobody is mentioning is injury risk. When you play tired players, not only do they make mistakes, they risk serious injury through muscle fatigue, slower reaction times etc. Every decision Pep has been making over the mast month and every one he makes over the next fortnight are all with the sole intention of maximising our chances of the Champions League. If he wins that the end justifies the means and all of his selection decisions are fully vindicated.Tiredness doesn’t work like that. Foden looks like he could play everyday and go and play in the park. And I think that’s why he plays some part in games that are rotated.
100 percent he has and tbh I wish he would stay as there is still more for him if he can stay fitJust as long as he picks up a winners medal.
He's earned that at least.
Mate, we've been near enough playing every 3 days for the last 9 months. Everyone's aware you can't flog the same team of players for every match in top class football, but more of a mix & match was required Saturday.Tiredness doesn’t work like that. "It's that simple" if you are a daft, blinkered, biased, ignorant football fan with no ability to comprehend the bigger picture or to understand the modern game.Mate, we've been near enough playing every 3 days for the last 9 months. Sterling, Aguero/Jesus, Cancelo, Rodri, Mendy could all have done with a run out, but a mix & match approach is what was needed, NOT wholesale changes including many players currently out of form, or returning from injury, especially against an in form Chelsea side in what was essentially a title decider.
I'd rather have rested who needed resting, & play our strongest 11 with a familiar formation, & got the job done. Then we could have rested & rotated who we liked for the next 20+ days with the Carabao Cup & League in the bag, with just the CL final to concentrate on.
I like many other fans feared Pep would do what he did on Saturday, & we also feared a repeat of Wembley a few weeks earlier because of it. We should deal with what's in front of us to the best of our ability, then prepare for what lies in wait further down the road. It's that simple mate. :-|
Agree, but the only thing I'd add is that every decision has already been vindicated by us getting to the final in the first place! The other factor that nobody is mentioning is injury risk.
