My team:

-----------Ederson
Walker-Dias-Laporte-Cancelo
------------Rodri
--------KDB-----Bernardo
--Mahrez--Jesus--Sterling

Foden would be in my starting line-up for a final but I would like to rest him and get Sterling and Jesus into form.

Think there were some weaknesses in our game vs PSG starting with the fact they had more possession than us at the Etihad, despite playing with a man less for 20 minutes.

Pep said after the game we couldn't press well in the 1st half. Mahrez also said we didn't play well in that half. But the same happened in the first 30 minutes in both games vs Dortmund and in Paris. That's an issue Pep has to address and may start with Chelsea tomorrow.

We start with a false 9 precisely in order to have more control, and the control wasn't quite there in the first halfs of the last 4 CL games. Same happened vs Chelsea at Wembley, but Pep made 8 changes from Dortmund and it's not clear it had something to do with the pattern of starting slowly.

Will Pep try a different formation vs Chelsea, one with a genuine striker? Will we start more aggressively like vs Spurs at Wembley? Think he will make at least 4 changes: Laporte, Cancelo, Rodri and one from Jesus/Sterling/Aguero, if not two.

CFC need to take something from this game because of the CL qualification. Their run-in is very difficult. W

I like that but could maybe swap Zin for Kyle (Cancelo right back) and Kun for Jesus. Pep might want to rest Riad as well. But who know what the genius will do

I was browsing Pep confidential or the other book written by that Spaniard. It’s clear that Pep regards Tucal extremely highly based on his experience in Germany. Described him as the most innovative German coach in decades who had a Dortmund playing more effectively that Klopp ever managed. Chelsea are in the final for a reason, they are one of the top sides in Europe just now. This is just the start of what will become a pretty intensive rivalry between the two coaches.

get Sterling and Jesus into form.

Good point, we might need them in the final in case we are chasing the game or to freshen things up in the last 20 minutes/extra time. The more players are in form, the stronger the team is.

Their run-in is very difficult.

Difficult indeed. Arsenal and Villa have got nothing to play for, I take it that'll be six points. But Leicester City will fight those two matches sandwiched in between tooth and nail. Am I not right in thinking this is the first cup final that Leicester have been in since that fateful day in ’69? If that doesn't get them up for it, nothing will. And the league game is vital — for both clubs.
On the other hand, it's no bad thing for Chelsea to have toughish matches leading up to a big final. It keeps teams on their mettle.

Funny how often after a cup final, the two teams play each other straight after in the league. Didnt we play Stoke straight after we beat them in the cup final. Also Arsenal in the league cup a few years ago. Chelsea lose to us on Sat then it really opens up 4th spot and puts them under pressure. Really important we give them no easy games to the end of the season.

There's a hell of a lot of people advocating playing our 'B' side on Saturday so Tuchel doesnt know what to expect in the final, whilst I get that going full strength against his side could help surely to God he'll have watched both legs against PSG and will be planning his team for the 29th May accordingly.

Basically just go as strong as we can get the title boxed off then we can do whatever the fuck we like for the next 3 weeks, we win tomorrow and we can wrap KDB, Foden, Dias etc up in cotton wool and play fucking Garcia for all I care.

Get it won City

I don''t think CFC's workload over the remaining fortnight is going to be a big factor in the CL final but if they do miss out on 4th it will raise question marks against them and put them under pressure.

What it will mean is he cant really rest and rotate like we can and the mental fatigue of so many big games will eventually catch up with them, especially if they do miss out on top 4.

But having played a seriously draining game on Tuesday, what is our best side? Important that we keep players thinking that they can win a place in the CL starting line-up. There's also tactics. What maybe ur best side against PSG might not be our best side against another side. For example, what in your opinion is the defensive weakness of CFC? I would say lack of pace at the back i.e., Chilwell and Azpilcueta so that's another argument to play Sterling, and Jesus.

It’s not crazy though. We beat them 6-0 in the league once. Then just 2 weeks later we drew 0-0 with them in the League Cup Final and had to rely on pens. SIX. NIL. What happened to them “learning we will thrash them again”? They learned from it and nearly beat us. And they are a better team with a better manager now.

We didn’t play our strongest 11 against them in the FAC semi and look what happened there.

If we start messing about trying to just scrape by tomorrow then we’ll probably get beaten again and then have to go into a CL final on the back of 2 recent defeats against them.

We need to put out a better team, play better football and beat them tomorrow.
Teach them that they get beat when they play us, let them fear our best 11 so that their hearts sink when they see our team sheet an hour before kick off in Turkey.

I not so much that Tuchel gets a look at us but his players. If that team that played on Tuesday walks out in the final with the same attitude and his players haven't played the majority of ours recently that could be a huge psychological advantage to us.

As has been said, it's a really difficult decision for both managers but I think Pep will go strong.
