We didn't "throw" the game, we rested players during the busiest season in history. Doing that resulted in out teams being fresh for 90 minutes agsints Spurs, Dortmund and PSG. If we win the big one those Chelsea changes were part of Pep's managerial genius.

Whilst he might be temptd to go "full strength" to get a psychological boost if we have them in Istanbul, I think he will be desperate to give those players more opportunities to play a part in our success and to reward them for the commitment.

I think the strength of the team we put out depends on whether Chelsea beat Madrid tonight. If we're up against Chelsea in the final, we need to face them at full strength. Two losses in a row against Chelsea bodes badly for the biggest game in our recent history.

If Madrid go through, then I think we still play a strong team to win the title while resting a couple key players.

If Chelsea get through i dont think there is a cat in hells chance that we play with what we think is our best eleven. We would not show our hand to them 3 weeks before the final . They need top 4 , so may be forced to play their best 11. I think Pep will pick a team similar to the FA cup semi final, and if we win with that team he will feel vindicated in his choice for the semi.

Nah, it was stupid to make this many changes before Aston Villa game. Team should be stronger. 2 players instead of Torres and one of Rodri/Fernandinho (Mahrez, B. Silva) would give us much better chances to win that game. Pep lost it too for not making subs early.

Agreed. I'd be staggered if we did NOT see at least 5 changes from last nights starting line up.

It might be a case of waiting to see who has come out of last night unscathed, especially the way those dirty gits at PSG went hacking in!! Best bet is to utilise his second string but make a few changes to add solidity to the team, put the remainder on the bench.
