As I said pre match, makes no sense giving them a practice go at playing our best team. They’d have chance to learn and make tweaks that could impact our CL chances. People kept saying there was nothing in that thinking but there absolutely is. This game doesn’t actually matter in the grand scheme of things. The league is won. We want the CL and this gives us the best chance. You should be happy with this team. We now have a better chance of adding the CL to the league and Carabao Cup.

You don't think there would be any benefit for Tuchel to actually play against that 11? Learn the lessons, and tweak his own system accordingly?

If he was playing his best 11 possibly...hut he has made 5 changes as well....so its nothing to do with keeping tuchel guessing...its about rotation

No he can't. Watching a side play against another team isn't remotely the same as having that side play against your own players for analysis. He can look at what weaknesses we choose to exploit, 1v1 match ups, how we deal with their threats etc etc the list is almost endless.

It's pretty clear from the lineups both Pep and Tuchel, two of the best managers around are thinking the same thing so it's probably wise to accept there's a big advantage to facing your opponent just before doing it again in the biggest game of the season.

Villa away. An injury and Newcastle beaten Leicester. And a off-form Liverpool. The Rags could easily win their next 3 games. Then Fulham and Wolves. 5 wins there.

Even I said they aren't winning all but with 6 days and 3 games it's inevitable they are dropping points. So it's okay. Even a draw today is enough
