I can see it both ways. On the one hand we want to wrap it up, but on the other hand it makes sense, sort of, not to show Chelsea our best hand and rest some players/not risk injury at the same time. If we did play our best side and they still win it would give them a major boost for the CL final.

To be faIr, that was a strong starting eleven. It was just unfortunate that so many of them played very poorly on the day.

Despite that, it was still a close game. Chelsea are a good side but I think we are far better. If we play well, this is the best squad in world football and any of our starting elevens can beat anyone.
 
I love the team selection. No reason City can't win with this team and it stops Chelsea from gaining in-game experience against City's best side and formation.

That's a decision made by the players voting as well, they certainly have a lot more respect for Sterling than some fans.
 
They’ve done exactly the same and put out a weakened side. Neither is prepared to risk the possibility of our best teams being done over before the champions league final.

People may not like it but it was right move.

Your glass is half empty.
Just think what it does to their heads if we win with our B team.
If we lose then there is no psychological advantage knowing you've just beaten a team that you know you won't be playing in the final, they might as well be playing another club.
Regardless, it keeps our cards close to our chest and keeps them guessing.
It's a gamble worth taking.
It's a gamble we can afford to lose.
