Unfortunately last night any green shoots of recovery have been stamped into the mud.
Chelsea are younger, quicker and more physical than us - they're also much better than Ipswich (sound like anyone we played Tuesday??). Palmer has a point to prove, and Meresca wouldn't mind putting one over us either I reckon.
I can't see past a loss - it's just the current reality until we sort a midfielder out.

Apart from the hole in midfield we really need to sort out the full back positions. So

GK Take your pick
RB Khusanov, he's fast and a defender, so even though it would be his debut , he's better than the other options.
CBs Akanji and Stones pick themselves as Ake and probably Dias are injured.
LB Gvardiol as we don't have a LB

CM O'Reilly, Nuñes and Kovacic. Here we'd at least have some energy from the first 2 and Kovacic could get forward a bit.

Yeah given what we've seen from Pep in the last 5 months, and over a longer period to be honest, to see a u-turn like that would be astonishing.

He has 5 in 6 in games or something, I love Phil but genuinely last night he was dreadful not just his performance, Pulling out of numerous challenges got on my nerves...I can take players having bad games, Half arsed challenges and not prepared to fight that's not acceptable.
