Inter are in a top 4 dogfight aswell and play Napoli today. They will be 100% dialled in and sharp whereas this says to our squad go have a piss up for 2 weeks the rest of the Premier League season means nothing.

The starting line-ups against Brighton and Brentford will be stronger than this I can almost guarantee it. Pep is just using this game to give a rest to players who have been playing at a very high intensity every three days and basically treating every game as a cup final for the past three months. It's the sensible thing to do.

I think this is a massive fuck up personally. Momentum is everything in football. I know Chelsea are wank like but if I had to pick a starting XI out of our squad to get beat by them...

Also completely thrown us all under the fantasy football bus. A fucking rags gonna win my league now haha

I think the A-Team deserve a rest, plus a few (not KDB who looked fucked against Real) will get late run outs as subs.

I'd expect a hard week of training & for us to play a mixed team vs Brighton & Brentford to keep everyone ticking over without rinsing them before our two impending finals.

I also think several of these players will be playing for their futures. Palmer, Gomez & Philips have failed to shine this season. If they can't perform today, it casts huge question marks over them for next season.

I hope so. I think rest is important but so is rhythm and intensity. Arsenal squad was getting plenty of rest when they imploded.
