Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

It left a sour taste that one as Lescott downed tools and Hughes was giving it the big one if I remember. Then Moyes waded in and it turned ugly. There was a lack of class around that move, something you would never see City doing now. Plus you didnt see any issue with Stones..... or Rodwell (remember him?).

We have been some of your biggest supporters the last few years as there has only been you standing in the way of that lot and Silverware - making them even more unbearable.
Fair comment.
We got sh1t off Villa fans when we signed Gaz Baz and as for Raheem, that was appalling from the dippers!

Army on the he streets is a massive no no in this country
During the firemens' strike Green Goddesses were used in place of regular fire engines. They were manned by army personnel iirc.
Other than that I don't recall army being used to police any events.

Remember the green goddesses . We pride ourselves on being a democracy so the army on the streets would seen as a dictatorship.

They may have to be on the streets when this cost of living crisis / interest rate increases kick in as the police wont be able handle significant public unrest.

Bullshit.

Sky happy to jump on anything that Celtic fans might do in their match but we can't have their beloved dips portrayed in the same light.

lost all respect to the blue nose scouse after the joleon lescott move to city and you lot give him and us murder
the lad was only moving for a better chance at silverware and titles

So am right Everton scouse scum

@BlueLou82

yep scum

Mate if you actually saw the game live or have a chance to view it again then do. Not like the Mail are known for lying or anything.

The silence was well observed at first, then after about 15/20 seconds one (sounded like one) idiot, who by the way has not been said was from the home or away end, was heard booing loudly. Then like what happens all the time, others start telling them to shut up and before you know it, the silence has been broken.

Its not like 38,000 Evertonians booed the silence. Also they all stood up and clapped on the 70th minute.

haha, so it was the away fans haha your sounding like the red nose scum

Think it probably had more to do with us both being direct rivals at the time.

Everton were City's bogey team for years and we were trying to overtake you, and Everton probably saw City as money grabbers trying to cherry-pick the best players from the teams around them. By the time we were trying to sign Rodwell, and then Stones, City had "earned" their place at the top and Everton had accepted that their best players would (more than likely) come to us if we ever pushed hard enough.

This forum has gone through phases with regards to which team it hates the most (overall) and it often reflects who our biggest rivals are at any given time. When I first signed up in 2009 it was United, Everton, and Spurs. By 2011 it was United, Spurs, and Chelsea. By 2014 it was United, Liverpool, and Chelsea. Ever since 2016 it's just been United and Liverpool because nobody else has really gotten close enough to us long-term.

Basically ever since the gaps between the two clubs widened, the more things have calmed down.
It will always be united no matter where we or they are in the league
