Stones was incredible - everybody else except Ake, Lewis and Marhez poor. Kev was fucking dire.
Bernie, Rodri Poor ? and Kev dire ? come on. His passing was off but his work ethic was still incredible. As for that pass to Grealish inside when everyone was expecting it to Haaland...brilliant. First half we were all out of sorts but second half we raised our game.

The tinkerman got away with it this time - Stones was world class.
made-up for Grealish and Mahrez, felt sorry for Cancello (right wing/left back ?)

I thought Stones and Ake were brilliant but I've gone with Grealish. I thought he looked amazing when he came on and created the all-important goal.
In the Everton post-match thread, I said how Jack and Riyad shouldn't play at the same time... proved me wrong very quickly!

John Stones….colossal! And the only player to return from the WC in any kind of form which says a lot about his maturity, in years gone by he may of come back injured or been a bit flakey, but not this version, quite simply the best CB in the PL
He has lost that tendency to make a silly error. Mr. Reliable now.

John Stones.

It was noted that he was involved in two key incidents in the first half with the block on Pulisic's effort and then the composure when the ball came back off the post to actually pick out a team mate. I'd have thumped it anywhere, but then I'm not John Stones.

He lead the back line very well despite the baffling tactics in the first half and was outstanding again in the second. He handled a wound up Conor Gallagher rather well and kept his head - thought Gallagher was acting the twat under the guise of getting himself noticed.

As for the rest of them, the fact that Lewis, Mahrez and Grealish pop to mind despite only being involved in the second half, about sums the game up for me.

Could do with KDB finding his first touch and passing range again ASAP. I'm talking more about the 10 yard passes that were under hit as oppose to his long range passes and deliveries into the box. His first touch seemed off as well and at times it seemed out of sync with were he should be during certain passages of play.

Anyway... Superb Stonesy!

Will you stop voting for other people!! John Boy was 86.4% last night and he’s down to 83.3%!
I can’t cope, I’m an old woman, someone might come and overtake him. ;-) :-)

OK Matron’s coming with my tablets now. *rofl* Have a good afternoon. :-)

Considering that the next highest in the poll (mini Gullit) has 4.5%, I think you can rest easy in your chair EB.
