back 4 + kova/silva were class defending the box, chelsea had some good attacking plays that really penned us back but they stood strong

wingers were sound defending out wide as well

Gone for Doku. I know there was a few frustrating moments from him but overall he was a real threat. Always available and never stopped running, good effort lad.

Lewis just from Kovacic because there was 2 moments when kovacic overplayed kept the ball to long lost the ball and we were lucky not to concede

So many 8s and 9s all over the pitch today. Rico, Kev, Bernardo, Doku got through so much good work despite the odd wayward move, but I went for Kova, solid and on the front foot and more important for him to have a big game as Rodders wasn't there.

We always agreed in plenty of things at work sir - seems it's carried on ;) lol

It should be Kovacic after a dominant display with a goal, but it is Lewis for me, he had a poor last season, where the energy levels were just not there, looks like it`s all there now, pity about the goal.

During the second half i had Rico and Kovacic neck and neck for motm until Kovacic smacked in a cracking goal. Like a lot of posters, that swung it for me.
On a side note, i find it incredible that some posters are surprised at Rico's performance. The kid has been rock solid since day one.

When I watched the highlights on MOTD2 we appeared to be wearing socks in the same shade of blue as Chelsea's shirt and they were wearing light ones which fitted with our shirts and to me (being a traditional pedantic) it looked all wrong. :-)

Our socks are navy with 2 light blue hoops and Chelsea's are white Eccles.

*lol* yes but as a pedantic our socks shouldn't be navy they should be either light blue or white to fit in with our shirts. JMHO (being a little fashion minded) :-)

He's full of energy, technique, lives for the team, but I think the thing that gets to a few people is that his enthusiasm sometimes outdoes himself.
