You say I'm not open minded, but in a closed minded way you don't point out how/why? I'm not set in my ways about Manuel, if anything its he who is set in his ways regarding how we should be set up and play irrespective of who we face or which personnel we have available.

Perhaps its you who's blinded by the faith you have in Manuel. Me, I call it as I see it and what I've been seeing from the beginning is the very slow disintegration of our once feared team just as many said would happen unless Manuel realised there are no mugs in the Premier League. The all out attack philosophy and the abandonment of our defensive solidity was always going to be short lived which is just common sense and not being far too set in one's way re Manuel.

I think history is proving who will ultimately and unfortunately be correct and I take no pleasure in saying so.

The thing is, I don't have blind faith in him, but I am mature enough to understand that there are many facets as to what makes a team perform.

Gen question. What % do you attribute the way we are playing this season to Pellers?

Interesting question and one I'd like you to answer too.

Yaya in a midfield 2 gets blamed for not doing enough defensively. Is it his fault or the manager's for putting him there when anyone you ask will say Yaya doesn't suit that role?

Silva gets marooned on the left and ultimately drifts inside leaving our left side exposed. Is it his fault for not being defensively responsible or the manager's for putting him there?

We play Leicester at home with their rapid counter-attacking forward line. We play our slowest possible back line and get caught out time and time again. Is it the defence's fault or the managers for not seeing what any average football fan could see was liable to happen?

It's the 100% the player's responsibility once they cross the white line, but it's 100% the manager's fault for putting them in that situation in the first place and in my mind I don't see how it can be dressed up any different. Is it any wonder the players are looking like they've lost heart?

So now I ask you the same question: ' What % do you attribute the way we are playing this season to Pellers?'

Point 1 Yaya - Manager should have realised much sooner that Yaya is detrimental in that role
Point 2 David - Juries out. If he was instructed to stay wide but decided to come inside then not pellers
Point 3 Defence V Leicester. On the face of it, you would assume Pellers was stupid, but he's not. Therefore, in my mind, he would have had some reason to pick who he did.

You have picked out three examples of where you feel he is totally to blame and fair do's he has played a significant part in that. However, I'm sure there are many examples where players have failed in basic techniques, made wrong judgement calls, just had a bad day at the office etc which has resulted in poor performances. IMO, this falls outside of pellers fault

Over the course of this season, I would attribute about 50-60% on Pellers.

You made a point in your last response to me about history will prove you to be right (or something along those lines). Are you basing that on because we know he's going?

And Jovetic even got a goal (if it's the 2013/14 FA Cup you're talking about).

Noooo! It was the game where Joe saved SuperFrank's penalty after he'd touched Ba and the thirteen stone adult collapsed to the floor with triple salchow! Yaya beat a couple of players in the area and sidefooted a bender past Cech and then Carlos thumped one in from outside the area. Jeez, we played well!

Player have off days, suffer from loss of form the same as managers make mistakes. The point I'm making is that our slow decline has been exactly that, a slow decline over 2 1/2 years. It can't be explained by players being off form, injuries etc so what is the root cause of it?

We've released the likes of Jovetic, Dzeko, Garcia etc and recruited the likes of Sterling, KDB and Fernandinho. This is the strongest squad City have had in my lifetime and probably ever, so like I said based on the extended period of our decline, at what point do you look beyond the players and look toward the man who coaches them?

The point I made about history proving the fans who sensed something was amiss right had no bearing on Manuel going. If you stand back and don't allow your emotions to cloud your judgement, you could see it coming as clear as day.
