I think you acted too soon by sacking AVB to be honest, never give him a chance to impose himself and his ideas on the squad , RA listened to the old guard too much and let them down tools to drive him out, he could be a top manager given time and money.

As for Benitez there's a good chance he could end up at Madrid in the summer with the departure of Mourinho and leave you managerless once again, what next i hear you say?

I think your running out of options when it comes to high profile managers so i think the next move will be one that'll bring the fans and chairman together, so you can both move forward as one.

In my opinion your next appointment will be Gianfranco Zola, he's got Watford playing some great football and it'll be a cute and acceptable appointment by the fans.

I agree that he was sacked too soon and I was behind him to the end. But in the interests of balance, AVB brought about his own downfall by alienating key members of the squad and taking on the old guard rather than working with them. He ostracised Anelka and Alex until they were sold and entered into a power struggle with the rest of them. His man management skills left a lot to be desired. I think that he was ultimately hired a season or two too early.

No idea what will happen next but this is just unsustainable now. The elements of a great squad are there but the management situation is an absolute catastrophe.

Does that mean he's set to 'snub' City?

i`d like him to go to chelsea although i think he`s just as suited to the scum.

morally lower than a snakes scrotum

I'd be very surprised if Mourinho's not back at the Bridge next season and there will be blood on the carpet of the Boardroom as a few of Chelsea's execs get their comeuppance.

+1

If Mourinho was to go to Chelsea next season, I would make them favourites for the title.

They're one or two players away from a real top side, in my opinion.

They need a top class striker, that's for definite. I rate Demba Ba, he's very good, but you need more than one striker. Torres, for me, is finished. I think he's been really poor this season, he has had so many starts with such a creative midfield and his performances have been awful. Maybe he could stay as the third choice striker, unlikely he would accept that though. I would be stunned if either Falcao or Cavani wasn't a Chelsea player next season, with the other one coming to us actually.

Defensively Chelsea haven't been great this season, but I think a top manager would solve that. I wouldn't say the problem is with the personnel as Azpilicueta, Cahill, Ivanovic, Terry and Cole is a good enough selection of defenders.

I would say the problem current is with the manager. I don't think Benitez is a top manager and is starting to show this season. If they had Mourinho with that squad plus a few additions, I would be very worried.

Petr Cech out again with a broken finger. Our problems just keep getting worse.

He'll miss the City game won't he? Surely 4-6 weeks to recover.
