Chelsea Thread 2013/14 (continued)

Filipe Luís will be 29 around the time the new season starts so he is an interesting signing for sure.

I think with Zouma coming in I reckon Jose will think going for a young left back will leave his back line too inexperienced so I can see his thinking.

Anyone know the reason why Courtios was allowed to play against his parent club?

Surely not a mistake on Chelsea's behalf, and his save from Terry was crucial.

uefa don't allow any rulings in loan contracts that stop a player from playing against their parent club in the champions league, that's what i read anyway.

it's only in england in which it is standard practice that loanee's don't play against their parent club, in other european leagues i think the clubs have to put a clause in the contract to stop him playing against the parent club.

apparently close to signing Felipe from Atletico (left back). Shaw to United I'm assuming then.

Chelsea close in on deal to sign Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis, raising doubts over Ashley Cole’s future

Abramovich loves his Brazillians doesn't he?

Not a clue how he likes his lady to groom herself.

He just thinks if he buys enough of them one day Chelsea will start playing exciting football.

Pretty accurate

Amusing and hopefully they fallout. Funny losing mata (got a good price though) and possibly hazard. That's 30 goals and 40 assists gone combined

Jose has never been a fan of fancy Dans or flash players. Duff, Cole, robben, mata etc

Having a little public spat with Hazard, I hope he's next on the list of talented players Mourinho ships out.
and David Luiz(for saying that failing to win anything would be a shit season). He really hates it when any of his squad actually speak honestly rather than just saying what he wants them to say.

Oh that would be too funny. Not that they would ever sell him to us but even the slightest chance, I'm the first one on scene with a car waiting to drag him to City.
