Chelsea Thread 2013/14 (continued)

I think Costa will be good for them, because he thrives in a counter attacking and more direct system. Spain's system is completely foreign to him and it showed. But his discipline is awful and with retrospective action so prevalent in England, I foresee a first season full of scandal. But I think he'll score 20+ goals for them.

Of course on the face of it 50 million quid for Luiz is a great piece of financial business for Chelsea, a very tidy net profit for a player who was often maligned in the press but let's not forget last season in defence they were superb, in fact the best at not conceding goals in the league. One never knows, losing a player like that on the field who was instrumental in that defence and not replaced adequately may cost them dearly.

It was Terry and Cahill who played at CB when Chelsea were solid defensively. Luiz even cost them games like that Everton one and was terrible against us in the FA cup match.

Chelsea were solid defensively, because the whole team had to be defensive. They still need a left back and not confident about their centre backs.

Still with Fabregas and Costa they are the favourites to win the league. I would be surprised if they don't win the Premiership next season.

Title favourites for next season as of now, everybody are hyping them up already..good for City that though.

With the greatest of respect mate......absolute Bollox
Why is it bollox? I call it how I see them. I said City were favourites last season and expected you lot to win the league, but this season Chelsea are stronger and unless you make an unbelievable signing I think Chelsea will win it. Chelsea lost the league last season, because they could not break down the weaker more defensive teams. With Fabregas and Costa, they won't drop points against the bottom teams like they did this year. Now why do you think what I said was bollox?
