That makes it 5 wins from 5 in preseason so far, with 17 scored and 2 conceded.

Looking at the score is it cos you've played third-tier Pacific Rim teams before tonight
We also played Inter and AC. You played third tier teams from Africa and United played the same Asian teams. I'm not sure what the point is.

Madrid clearly with a chip played very well. Though if this were a CL game we'd have a pretty different lineup.

Mmm, wonder if Jose still think Petr Cech is the best goalie in the world.

He certainty could have done better with Marcelo's goal

That was Ronaldo's and it was pretty much a perfect free kick. You don't often save those. He could have done better with Marcelo's but Cahill stood off him inside his own box, the chance shouldn't have even come for that one. Even so it was a good shot right in the corner and not exactly easy to save.

Watched the goals and read the write-ups.......seems Lukaku struggled to make an impression up front.

A lot of people were impressed with Lukaku last season. I was't as a top 4 player, but I thought at his age and with better players he would improve. Of course he may. One match is just that. All we can say is that if CFC fail with Rooney, then a lot of their hopes will rest on his shoulders.

The other way around it is to copy Guardiola tactics and play without a central recognised striker

If I were Mourinho I'd have been looking to sell Cech and keep hold of Courtois this season, he looks absolutely exceptional.

Mourinho:
"I hope Ronaldo leads Real Madrid to La Liga." , "I wish the best to Real Madrid," he said. "I have so many people that I like in the club starting with the president and finishing with the most simple and humble employees. I wish them very, very well and I'm happy that they're headed in the right direction and I have no problem saying I hope they win La Liga."

Had Chelsea won the game we'll never heard the end of it from Jose, certainly not those kind words

Talking like a proper loser when put in his place.

He was isolated up front for his entire time on, but he held up the ball and assisted Ramires goal, allowing him to bust through Madrid's back line. I wasn't expecting a Drogba performance from him against one of the best teams in the world (playing their first 11) but he didn't get any chances to work with.

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't here so I've got nothing to say.

I'd actually say Madrid's behaviour was reprehensible as Marcelo (and others) were shouting at him and giving him looks when they scored. Utterly classless behaviour. Mourinho shook hands and wished them well. I hope we meet them in the CL this year when something is on the line.

Mourinho certainly knows all about utterly classless behaviour that's for sure !
