Chelsea Thread 2014/15

If Chelsea are getting £40m a year for their shirt, while we're getting £40m for everything, then we need to renegotiate the deal during the summer. Our kit manufacturing deal is bad enough, notably falling behind on the shirt sponsorship would be of huge concern.

In fairness Yokohama Plastics are probably a front for Gasprom.

Costa's done an Interview in the S*n claiming all the referees are picking on him apparently, ycnmiu.

Although we don't know the terms and conditions of our deals, in the last few years, seeing other teams new sponsorships, ours now seem woefully under valued. I don't yet expect us to pull in the same money as some, even Chelsea are CL winners where we are not yet, but your right, 40 mill for everything is hugely undervalued now.

Lucky he has not picked up at least 3 straight reds this season yet another one from there moaning. Wonder who Chelsea have on the calendar to moan tomorrow

Deluded bastards are appealing Matic's Red, this is the second frivolous appeal against a red for violent conduct in the space of a month, he has to be hit with the extra game.
This is the clearest frivolous appeal you'll ever see, but they won't hit him with an additional game ban as they don't want the media backlash. They've fucked up in not hammering Ashley Barnes, and people generally are sympathetic towards Matic's response, so they won't want to get involved in that if they can help it.

The challenge on Matic was a shocker, and I don't blame him for the way he reacted (he could have ended up with a broken leg), however understanding the reaction, and being sympathetic towards it, doesn't change the rules. He ran 10 yards and flattened an opponent by shoving him forcefully to the floor. It's as nailed on a red card as you're likely to see. If the FA were to overturn that then it allows players to, at will, throw their opponents around, and sets a precedent that other players will use for appeals in the future. I'm sure we've all seen the bodyslam/suplex in the Worcester v Stockport game this weekend, that was a reaction to a horrible leg breaker challenge, was that reaction ok? No. Matic's ban should stand, he commited the offence, albeit with mitigating circumstances.

I don't think the Burnley player even made a challenge, Matic came into his path after he had committed to the ball, making the contact an unfortunate accident (I'm not on my own with this summary either)

What chance the FA will listen to the head ref and overturn the red............

Now that would be a joke
Just because people keep repeating a lie, does not make it become the truth.

It's not a lie, it's called an opinion. Which i happen to agree with. There is no tackle involved from Barnes.
The only person going into a "Challenge" is Matic.

Both camera angles offer up conflicting view points, but the one telling factor for me is Barnes response itself.
He seems completely unaware of of his supposed misdemeanor. Not guilty, for me.

Chelsea are now a big club according to United fans.

Apparently it's down to 10 years of success, their fan base in the far east, and their new shirt sponsorship deal.

Obviously Roman's billions, buying success, and not winning the title for 3 seasons doesn't matter anymore.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.redcafe.net/threads/chelsea-sign-new-40m-year-shirt-deal-with-yokohama.401865/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.redcafe.net/threads/chelsea- ... ma.401865/</a>

So there you have it. A United fan blueprint for City to become a big club.

10 years of success, a large fan base in the far east, and a massive shirt sponsorship deal. :-)
