Chelsea Thread (2015-16)

£20 million may not be a lot to Abramovich, but I would think it's quite a lot for Jose.

He challenged the BOD to sack him a few weeks ago, and his behaviour since then has been weird, to say the least.

I don't know if he has given up with Chelsea, but he was a loose cannon in Spain towards the end of his time their, and he recently received the dreaded vote of confidence.

It's a very strange situation all round.

I think he wants to be sacked.

I believe that Maureen has planned this since last summer. Off the back of a successful campaign, he negotiates a new four year contract then sets about creating the scenario where he must get the sack.
Retires for life with a huge lump sum.

I think Chelsea would sack him if there was a good alternative out there. I bet there is a lot of secret meetings going on.

I'm convinced he'll be sacked at some point this season, or at least they'll be a parting of the ways at the end of this campaign. He'll then "take a year out" and replace Van-Gaal when his contract runs out at the swamp.

Other details include the confirmation that Eriksson personally advised the multi-billionaire Roman Abramovich to buy Chelsea, not Spurs, and he gives an insight into the Russian’s wealth. Eriksson mentioned to Abramovich’s trusted lieutenant, Eugene Tenenbaum, that “£80m is a lot” for a club. To which, Eriksson writes that Tenenbaum replied: “Yes but that affects Abramovich’s finances about as much as if you or I went to the coffee shop and bought a cup of coffee.’’

I really don't think he would consider a £20/30m payoff to jose as a fortune.

He needs a replacement. That would probably be another £15 million plus.

Well you eluded to it yourself. Bayern aren't a team that wants to turn ultra defensive when they have very good attacking players regardless if he wins. He'll be out in 3 years at any club he goes to. He is dragging Chelski's name through the mud with his antics and he'd do the same with Bayern. I hated Real Madrid while he was there, but when he left didn't feel it as much. Now that he's back at the Bridge I can't stand Chelski again. I'm sure there's a lot of people that feel the same way. Bayern are above that.

Bayern are an absolute c*** of a club. They'd be made for each other.

That would make sense of the way things are panning out right now, but I'd laugh my tits off if he ended up getting sacked for gross misconduct with no pay off.

Chelsea players are performing so bad now. I don't even think the players can get so bad, players of such high profile. I am starting to think, the players want Mourinho sacked.

Just heard a Chelski fan on the radio waxing lyrical about last night, how the players were standing up to be counted and playing for their manager, and saying with this attiude it was just a matter of time till they were back at the top. Struck me that they had just been beaten by Stoke who themselves were soundly beaten at home last Saturday by big hitters Watford.
