Chelsea Thread (2015-16)

By jove sir you are right,on firther reflection and after much thought i argree this is a perfect example of the phase 'losing one's shit' indeed i would go further and say it is indeed a perfect demonstration of losing one's shit.So glad we have cleared that up
I'm glad you agree. I will further predict that there will be many such episodes of shit losing because the nauseating **** is indeed full of said shit.

If you were Roman why would you sack him? It would cost you a fortune and you'd only get shit of the fans when anything went wrong in future. Far better for Roman to let him lie in his shitty bed for a while and see how it pans out. Mou's reputation is on the line now, he has made this mess so he should be able to fix it.

If he feels Mourinho cant get them back into the top 4, and there is someone available who can, I could see why he would be tempted. All depends on the size of the payoff against the extra earnings from being in the CL.

Yup. I believe that at this point Jose is trying to get the sack. Things aren't going his way so he lays blame with everyone making Chelsea look like a laughing stock of a club. Basically taunting Roman to sack him because it would be the easy way out. If he was to get the sack he can say he wasn't given time to turn it around and still pretend to be one of the best managers in the world while still getting his full 4 year contractual pay.

Mourinho is rattled, and I can't see him turning it around. He's like LVG, a lunatic and when things go wrong, his players will turn against him.

I look at the points they've dropped already this season, and can they really make the top four? It'd take a miracle of a turn around.

They're 7 points behind Palace in 4th.

They'll easily get top 4.

It's not that much of a miracle. He just has to suck with a back 4, organize the defence, sit back in midfield so there is a sheild and let 3 loose to attack. They just need to not lose a couple and then they'll kick on and win a bundle. Easy.

With the squad he has there is no way Chelsea should finish outside the top 4. They should still go on to finish 3rd at least.

Mourinho is trying to get sacked though. He's bigging himself up whilst he blames the players and their weak mentalities. That won't last too much longer with such highly paid individuals. He's taunting Abramovich at the moment but the fact he signed a new contract recently means he's not going to be a cheap man to sack, and despite his love for Chelsea I'm sure he wouldn't decline any money if he was to be sacked. Full of shite and many predicted it would happen like this, albeit maybe another year or so down the line.

That's why we should all be thankful that despite FFP we've still managed to be competitive because the club have got a clear plan and strategy and have made the right calls on whether to stick or twist on management. We've been 1st or 2nd every season whilst others have come and gone.

We aren't on the verge of losing it at all.

And city fans would welcome only three places, as unlike your team, we aren't likely to finish fourth any time soon.

Yes we are. My understanding from what Sky Sports wa saying is if the Italian teams perform better than the English in Europe THIS SEASON we will lose our 4th spot to them.

No we won't but if we underachieve this season and next then the following year we will lose the 4th spot

The places are awarded a year in arrears, so 4th is guaranteed this season on the basis of the ranking scores from May. If the Italian clubs outscore the English ones by 0.5 between now and the end of the season then in 2016/17 the premier league will only have 3 spots.

Well they weren't winning when the penalties were denied. They were able to shake off bad calls and come back and win, why shouldn't Chelsea be denied a penalty when S'Ton were denied two?

Chavs weren't denied anything - it genuinely wasn't a penalty. Maureen can say what he likes, everybody could see it wasn't a penalty. But Southampton should have had two. The shirt-pulling one was fucking disgraceful.

Think people might be overreacting a little bit here. Chelsea can still easily finish in the Top 4 (unfortunately).

except Pelle had made a clear foul on Ivanovic which caused the whole situation in the first place.

Think it's the manner of the defeats & style of play that's most surprising. Anyone can go on an unlucky run or dip in form. But Chelsea for the last half of last season were fairly average, ground out results enough to win the title but were a shadow of their first half season performances.

If you look at their pre-season + season so far they have: 8 losses, 4 draws & 4 wins. The wins coming against, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Walsall, 10 man West Brom & 9 man Arsenal. They've conceded an average of 2 goals a game for those 16 games also. 16 games of bad form, that's almost half a seasons worth if that ends up translating to non-friendly matches also. Whilst they still should get top 4 with the players & manager they have, somehow they've been pretty woeful for a long period of time that will be a challenge to turn around suddenly without any more poor performances.

Saying that I do expect them to get top 4 but their dip is more than just a few bad games, something seems drastically wrong at Chelsea & it will be interesting to see how it develops.
