He has purple patches and looks unplayable at times but when he’s bad, he’s shocking and the bad periods are getting longer and longer.
I saw too many attitudinal problems in that 4 months or so running up to our CL final vs Chelsea. Regularly back on his heels, slumped shoulders, looking like he didn't even want to be out there.

And even though I didn't see as much of it in the last year, I think it took his edge off. Too often his ability to be decisive and even try take people on was gone, intrinsic drive to succed here, gone.
Can happen when you have a mard period. You feel so personally insulted that it's almost impossible to rekindle the same level of commitment.

Selling to Chelsea was the right thing for us and him. Problem is, I think his mental state led to him placing blame for whatever beef he might have had elsewhere, rather than looking to own his own shit first and working hard on that.
And now, in leaving the supportive utopia that City can be for anyone willing to be authentic, he may well struggle even more to recapture that peak consistency.

He shit on them and took all there backroom staff 6 games into the season

I mean he didn't really shit on them. He left for a better opportunity and no-one should really begrudge him that. He left Swansea when Brighton came calling and no-one really considered that shitting on Swansea.

I do agree though, with Brighton fans booing him. I would if I was a Brighton fan, because he hasn't just left the club and took a couple of assistants with him (which most coaches do). First the assistant recruitment director came with him and a few later, the senior recruitment director has followed suit to Chelsea, one of the backroom staff members was a Brighton legend, so Chelsea have essentially gutted Brighton's set up and no-one can convince me Potter had no say in those decisions, as he worked closely with all of them.

The ruining attacks is a very familiar theme with him.

But I am surprised at his movement being poor. For me, he was always world class at making and timing his runs. It’s why he scored so many goals for us much more so than his ball control or actual finishing.

I am too, I thought it was the one thing I knew would be elite and if we could just create a reasonable number of chances, he would find himself on the end of a good number of chances. He started the season like that, he missed a lot of chances but he also scored at a good rate, but lately there is none of that. Obviously it doesn't help that he sometimes gets shoved out to WB but even from there, he ruins countless attacks by simply being unable to either control the ball properly or being super indecisive.

Look what happens when you discover the grass isnt quite as deep a shade of green as you thought it was on the other side of the fence.
Be outraged at that.

I think some Chelsea supporters are right when saying, that Boehly should have found way around sacking Tuchel. Top coach all things considered, maybe some help and freedom with bringing players, could not disagree with Tuchel didnt want CR7 but easily to belief guy like Boehly would love to get such brand. Potter was not neccessarily bad pick up, but it does not look good atm for whatever reasons. James is a huge miss, but generally few last games was atrocious, they were simply noticeably worse than Arsenal today, barely created anything, Brighton was not much better.

Chelsea needs something to organise them better, it looks really bad atm, when you still have there really quality players. They must be able to create more under any decent cirsumstances.
