Lots of these predictions, but we're winning the league next season :)
Which league? :)

so ffp are going to ask what was that 1.5 billion loan forThere's far worse looming in the future for Chelsea than a few weeks of Frank Lampard. Let them enjoy it.

I don't understand this post, sorry. I'm asking you what depths does Potter have to fall with Chelsea before you agree that it is okay to fire him? Clearly you don't think sitting in the bottom half in April is enough, so I'm asking you where you draw the line with Potter?

Maybe they should've sounded a new manager out before sacking Potter. These last 10 or so games would've been great for the new coach to gauge the team out and plan for the next window. Poor planning from the club.
Nothing against Lampard though. I get when his beloved team asks for his help, he can't say no.
Anthony Barry would be the Kidd/Mason equivalentBruno Saltor did not want to be the caretaker beyond that one game, presumably because he is extremely close with Potter and wants to follow Potter to where he goes next. I can't think of an in house caretaker unless you pick one out of the U21/18 youth teams. We've hired external interims before (Hiddink x2 and Rafa) so it's not that weird to do it again. People are just laughing because it's Lampard.
I am just confused by it all. The only way it makes sense to me is if it's a hail Mary for the CL, but then why appoint Lampard? I guess you would agree Potter is a better coach then Lampard and his dismal coaching record. If Potter couldn't do it, why will Lampard be able to?
I suppose he is respected in the organisation for his playing career, but how many players there know anything good about working with him? If they couldn't work for Potter, why will they with Lampard?
Just seems to me it's all a bit of a panic.
But what do I know? CL favourites for me now :)
And if it really goes South, they can always reappoint Potter as interrim, interim manager, just like the rags did.Different set of players from last time.
We might be laughing on the other side of our face after a few weeks, he might get a tune out of this squad, he'll give the place a lift as the neanderthals they have in the stands will have already forgot his previous stint.
Be interesting from afar to see how it unfolds.

It doesn’t matter who’s in the seat if Boehly keeps dousing it in petrol and lighting it. Yes, results were obviously an issue, but the solution isn’t always “sack the manager” when it’s decisions taken out of management’s hands that have lead to this.

As things stand they aren't going to have any issues with UEFA FFP next season.Without wishing to flog a dead horse, do you think this is a Boehly appointment, or have your two sporting directors done this?
Whatever happens, don't give up on the CL yet. Would be typical football if you guys win it and get back in that way. Because if you don't, you lose the money, have trouble with FFP and don't get the shiniest of new managers. All imho, of course.
I can somewhat buy into that argument, but I don’t think he’s at all accountable for this mess, and for that reason I would have stuck with him whilst righting those wrongs. That can't be sorted until the summer. We had a situation on our hands now where the team was losing every week and the fans were vehemently Potter Out. There likely will be a firesale in the summer and the squad will be trimmed but for now, you have to deal with the situation in front of you and for Potter, he just wasn't deserving of keeping his job.

It’s just the wrong antidote for the problem and it doesn’t solve the here and now either, other than the positivity towards club legend Frank. I suppose that makes FL the best choice for what the purpose of his hiring, but it doesn’t make any of this a good idea

I for one wish the City legend all the best.
