find it funny that the amount of money spent since the summer or just since Boehly took over and you hardly find an article mainstream media having an issue with this level of spending.

but if the owner was called Todorovic Boehlinoski from Russia or Sheikh Todrani Boehlsirikum from Dubai this same spending would be painted with very different tone in newspapers.

now the tone is more like Todd Boehly doesnt understand football maybe etc.
but none of those evil spending, will crash the premier league, its bad for the game, unfair shit...

About a week ago the back page of every paper had the headline "Chelsea £500m spending bad for the Premier League - Patrick Vieira". BBC Sport had an article questiong how they could possibly afford to spend this much without breaking FFP when they got invovled in Mudryk. Last Monday 5Live's flagship monday night radio show spent an hour on how this is possible/is it bad/is it even working with input from finance experts.

This Saturday's Daily Mail had a big feature on how Chelsea had spent more money than all of Serie A, Bundesliga and La Liga combined.

It's getting loads of negative coverage, you (and football fans in general) just don't notice negative stories when they're not about your own club.

Yep and Swiss ramble article was great piece that tells you they’ll probably be fine if they sell a few players! Just because of the 3 year monitoring period and the new ffp..

Have said this before ffp should be booted into touch and let any team spend as much as they like if they cast iron assurances with money upfront

Yeah spot on, and it's the same when people (of all fanbases) moan about how quickly this or that club get their transfer business done when actually it just seems that way because you typically don't follow every daily update of rival clubs chasing their targets and just really notice it when it's nearly done whereas you consume 100x more news about your own club and therefore are seeing every stupid little minute update multiple times a day. The same applies to negative coverage.

Also the amount negative press Boehly has had in the last 7 months, it's hard to accept he's getting easy because he's a white American. Every single journalist or pundit that isn't associated with Chelsea has been mocking him and telling us he's clueless. Neville said on Sky last summer that he's just a guy playing FM.

Apologies if already posted but thought it was funny :)

I bet neville wished he had played FM instead of trying it out for real with that Spanish club that he sunk. When I listen to him pontificating about football, which isn't often, I think what a dick this failed manager sounds.

Imagine if we were doing the same
We would be on the back pages every day
Why the difference?
