Potters chelsea haven’t played anyone yet! But Potter for me is a fantastic manager and England will go for him after the World Cup!

Lol what? England will go after the Potter in a couple of months? The manager Chelsea gave a 5 year contract to a few weeks ago?

So is Kepa good all of a sudden? or Mendy just shit?

Well Mendy was injured when Potter took over, so he naturally Kepa stepped up in his absence. Mendy is fit now I think but Kepa hasn't really done anything that warrants being dropped so it is what it is. Unfortunate timing with the injury for Mendy, pretty sure if Tuchel was still around Mendy would be straight back as soon as he recovered.

No chance Potter would swap managing a team in the CL for an international job where most of the games are glorified friendlies against pub teams. Managing in the PL and CL is a much higher level these days. That's why Southgate has got the England job in the first place.

Yeah, England's chance was after the Euro's last year. That was the time to let Southgate go and recruit Potter. Now that he's at Chelsea, it's almost laughable to suggest he's going to walk out on a high paying job at a top CL club to manage England.

Exclusive: Chelsea are closing in on the agreement with Southampton to appoint Joe Shields as new Director of Recruitment. [emoji599][emoji838] #CFC

Huge statement by club owners as Shields is highly rated after his top work with Southampton and Man City, discovering many talents. https://t.co/VV2TCd1zDn

Crafty cunts.....a very cheeky way to get Lavia through the door.

Why did Shields leave us btw?

Director of recruitment: for senior players.

Probably interested in getting our talented 19-24 yo players but we were always going to have that problem where the kids are going to have to decide of staying at City or getting more game time elsewhere.

If anything he won't be scouting kids personally for the academy level.

And honestly it is natural to want to progress in life and get a promotion and the next level job vs staying in a dead end job.

I'm sure City appointed someone good for recruitment or they'll replace them.
