So gutted for him. He’s an incredible talent. It’s so sad to see a young player with so much ability get struck down by injury. Hope he can recover well. These injuries don’t just a physical toll on you, it takes a mental toll on you too.
He’s such a flakey defender, you won’t miss him, probably done you a favour.

What’s the mental toll? Big wages, best medical recovery money can buy and a plotted route to recovery, ridiculous comment.

I disagree. He’s a brilliant talent and one of the best young defenders in Europe.

I mean if you’re a young kid who’s trying to carve out a football career and you spend a whole year out injured with a broken leg and then you tear your ACL which likely keeps you out for a further 12 months? All before the age of 23. Some players go their entire careers without that kind of serious time out. If you don’t think those kinds of devastating setbacks can take a toll on someone mentally then you and I don’t just have drastically different views on football, but on human beings as well. The money he earns is irrelevant.

He’s not worth the money you spent on him, can’t defend.

£70m was definitely an overpay, even for how good I think he is and can be, but as usual, you’re wrong about his ability.

City are about to spend what, £90-100m on Gvardiol? Fofana and Gvardiol are in the same tier of talent.

City have been quoted the figures you suggest but it looks increasingly unlikely to go through. City have a record of walking away if the fee looks over large. See Slabhead, Alexis, Koulibally, Cucurella etc. Txiki usually proved right.

Not for us they aren't Gvardiol can do what Stones can do for us. Fofana couldn't.
