Whoa! Newcastle must be panicking like fuck paying that for a lad who suffered the worst kind of ACL last year and hasn’t played for 12 months
He's a talented lad. But yes, that sort of injury has to be a concern. I can only assume that Newcastle medical team think he's rehabilitated well.

I expect they're looking long-term for a successor to Trippier, but also know they've got more games this season with CL qualification. Maybe this season Trippier will play 2/3s of the games with Livramento getting 1/3 of games. Might be less stress for his body than playing a full season of Championship football too. As long as they don't rush him and overdo it they've got a good player there.

Chelsea have a 40% sell on clause so the more Newcastle spend on Livramento the more we get. I think a 40 million fee gives us something close to 15 million.

By my reckoning Chelsea have reduced their squad by six this window. Still need another half dozen to go.

Anyway back to the football.
I think Chelsea have done well this window so far.The Chelsea fans on here must be excited for the season to start .
Been wrong before though.
Basket case of a club, house of cards will come crashing down, unproven players once again.
