Re: Eden Hazard £35 million for potential

His obvious motivation is the money or why sign for a club without even knowing who is going to be the manager next season.
No one can give him guarentees about how many games he will play or where he will play.

While I do believe the move is motivated mainly by money, I think he must have had some assurance that a big name manager is coming in.

But he doesn't know the big name managers thoughts about him.

You're not much of a City fan if you only just found out.

Only had a season ticket for 15 years.
Wish kids weren't allowed on forums.

Just heard news Eden Hazard has decided to join unmanaged Chelsea.
Although I feel he could be a decent addition I'm glad the club haven't broke
The bank to sign him.
There is no comparison with our other big earners aguero, tevez, ya ya and David, as
All these players were already established winners of major trophies and were really guaranteed great buys.
Hazard apparently wanted 200k and the fee of £35 million was way overpriced for a 21 year old who is still unproven in a major league or international football.
I would certainly have him but not at those figures.
Well done city I'm sure he is one of a number of targets we had, so let's move to the
Next one.

We don't need Hazard. We have Adam Johnson.

And how do you know this?
Few people sounding very bitter about him signing for another team just like it'd fans do when one minute he ISA world beater then when he signs for someone else he is overateed and a money grabber.
Get over it he chose to sign for someone else and Chelsea have become a stronger team for it and will challenge us next year

I agree with your sentiments on his motives but I don't think Chelsea will be that strong next year.

The squad is going to be stuck between the old guard leaving, Drog, maybe Lamps and the new guard coming/settling in Hazard, Luiz, Cahill, Mata.

They finished 6th this year, 6th place!

It's a long way to the top from there, whoever you sign.

I'm not bitter if he is going for £35m I'm glad we haven't paid that much for him. Obviously I think he would be a good addition to our squad but I'm glad city stood firm and not caved in to massive wage demands.
Chelsea are running football with these stupid wages.

Straight to the point. We had to pay overinflated wages when we wasn't established now we won't be held to ransom. For me I happy with this as if we did continue to spend as we were ffp would not even be a possibility.
Again well done city !!!
