Lopes needs to play at a lower level

Wonder if Ntcham will be promoted right away into the EDS at 16 or start with the 18s because a tough midfielder would help and he is supposed to be physically mature enough to play with the older lads.

greasedupdeafguy, based on tonight I agree, Lopes has been pushed up too soon and looked a bit out of his depth. Hopefully will settle as the season goes on but you have to wonder if he's been promoted a year too soon.

Good result that considering the set up. I hope we don't just accommodate the likes of Lopes and Suarez it effects the whole team, Lopes for example looked like a boy which is because he is. Playing them in a two man midfield was wrong.

Good start though, learning process for everyone.

Decent night out. Strongbows in the bar and Suarez taking the piss. On that performance he could definitely step in to the first team if needed.

I'm no expert but when i see city signing loads of youngsters not many of them seem to be defenders. they all appear to be forwards and attacking midfield players, i can't remember hearing that we have signed a 15 year old 6 foot 4 centre back

I know he had little support but I thought Hiwula was very lazy never saw him chase the ball, Helen looked very good at left back though hope he gets in the squad for the carling cup.
