Chelsea U21 v City U21 Tonight

It will probably take a couple more season before we will see signs of improvement in my view.

Good goal by Lampard. Thought he was too old for this though.

its not exactly an u21 league as you only have to have 7 u21 on the pitch at the start

your allowed 3 outfield and 1 keeper over 21, basically the same as the Olympics

It's over 23 in the Olympics.

lool I hope you know he was making a joke b/c the transmission interrupted & showed some highlights from Lampard scoring against Hull a few years ago.

Chelsea U18 5-1 City U18 and not over yet.

Have to consider that many of the top U18s from last season have been moved up (Hiwula, Evans, Henshall, Facey, Rusnak, etc.) so it could be a hard season for the 18s for a while.

FT: 6-1 to Chelsea U18... that score line comes back to haunt us! Thankfully not at first team level. :)

City vs Chelsea Charity shield was the season opener.

Chelsea vs City U21 opener

& Chelsea vs City at u18 level as well.

It's a shame Chelsea got outplayed in the most important one of all of those ties.

A lot of our players are in Ukraine so hopefully we should see an improvement when there back and with Nthcham coming in to the side.

The same age group won 9-0 last time City came to Cobham.
quite a few of the same goalscorers as well, they must like playing City.

Chelsea report says we had our fair share of chances so maybe Chelsea were just clinical on the day? They're a good side anyway.

I'd take getting beat 6-1 at this level every week as long as one or two came through and saved us £15m+ on a player.

It's nice to see our youth teams winning cups and leagues but where did that get us under Cassell? Producing players for the likes of Carlisle, Huddersfield and Peterborough. I'd rather we develop players than successful teams, defeats the whole object of an academy.
