Chelsea V Liverpool.

If Costa was to get a retrospective ban Chelsea would just appeal last minute allowing him toplay on Saturday, and risk increasing his ban for a frivolous appeal!
The FA have stopped that happening. He'll be banned this week if he is banned, and no messing around.

By stats do you mean a 1 in 3 record during his career or 1 goal from 9 internationals. Flat track bully who can be easily controlled by a good Central Defender.
Yes, but I guess you are probably aware that Costa has only stepped up onto the next level in the last 3 and half years. One of those years he did not play as the main striker he played out wide, whilst Falcao did. In those 3 and half years including when he was playing out wide he has stats like a goal every 1.6 games.

His record this season is he has scored against 4/6 teams last season. Chelsea were one of the top 4 and he has not scored against City. Of the current top 6 he has scored against 2/6, but did not play against United, obviously did not play against Chelsea and has not scored against Southampton and City.

Last season he scored 4 goals in the Champions League knock out rounds.

It's just the standard way to put down a world class player now days. The same thing was said about Suarez.

Mourinho isn't going to last long, he's learnt nothing from his first time getting fired, if anything he's got worse. Abramovich will watch his interview and be embarrassed. He wants a side that is the nevy of world football, but all Mourinho can offer him is a side that breaks every rule going to win and then throws wild accusations at everyone. It's pathetic and even the english media are onto it now (well, most of them). He's become a caricature of himself

I hope so.
Absolute discrace.

This is not unusual for this nutter. I recall his antics in Spain including one memorable occasion when he spat on Alonso when Atletico were taking a corner.

Its an absolute blessing that he is not playing for City.
