I'm not listening to the word contact at all. I agree with collymore
I don't care if it's Rooney, bale, balotelli or whoever. Torres could have stayed on his feet and delayed his fall.
If he can stay on his feet and falls he's cheating.
I hate clatternburg more than anyone here, I would punch his face in if I ever met him. I have been banned from two forums from people saying he was the best refs in the league which sent me mentoal! But today I think he got the torres one spot on.
As for the offside that's a fucking joke. 2-2 would have been a fair result
Young played for the contact too,so where is the consistency. In fact the amount of penalties and free kicks United players earn by flicking their legs out to catch defenders is ridiculous.
Firstly how can Young be "looking for it" when he's running forward, with Ivanovic behind him, does he have a magical third eye in the back of his head ? He can't be looking for it, he's past the last defender, through on goal, there was a touch, at full speed, 9/10 players would fall over. Young might be a poven cheat, but was fouled in my view.
Secondly Torres is running towards the player, knows a tackle is coming, neatly nutmegs him, but realises Ferdinand (I think) has the ball covered, feels a touch and decides (despite the fact he has already been booked, and that his team are already a man short) to go down to get the free kick. Torres tried to cheat and was found out.
If these two incidents had resulted in Chelsea ending up with 9 men, and getting beaten by Southampton, this thread would be about 3 pages long. (In my opinion)
