Finally someone knows the rules of football.

People watch motd too much and wank over Hansen and this contact word.

You do realise your using Stan Fucking Collymore to prove your 'point'?.

The only rules Collymore knows anything about are the ones about getting your dick out in car parks.

Wow. Just wow.

The only contact visible on Daley, sorry Young, was Ivanovic's arm. Why does he throw his right leg out like that, mid-dive.

If Torres' weight wasn't already off that leg by the time Evans caught him, halfway up the shin....I dread to think.

Piss poor refereeing, piss poor referee. True to form.

Hope he gets a permanent demotion like Atwell seems to have, but not betting on it. As far as Chelsea are concerned damage done, much like us, but preventing him from influen... refereeing our games in future would be good after Walton was shipped off to America.

Yeah, thanks for Walton by the way.

No its not alan Hansen. Stop using the word contact to justify falling over easy. There is contact hundreds of times in a game without the ball being won, that doesn't mean it's a foul. Nowhere in the fifa rulebook does it utter hansens words. You are basically saying it should be a zero contact sport like basketball.

Torres was looking for it and got punished. I'm glad someone nailed him and now players will think more about exaggerating falls. Bale included before some bellend wants to try and be smart

Really?

Guess which ref ruled this a foul?

contact with studs down the shin without touching the ball is a foul. We are not talking about hip to hip sort of contact as I`m sure you are aware.

I'm not listening to the word contact at all. I agree with collymore

I don't care if it's Rooney, bale, balotelli or whoever. Torres could have stayed on his feet and delayed his fall.

If he can stay on his feet and falls he's cheating.

I hate clatternburg more than anyone here, I would punch his face in if I ever met him. I have been banned from two forums from people saying he was the best refs in the league which sent me mental! But today I think he got the torres one spot on.
As for the offside that's a fucking joke. 2-2 would have been a fair result

Young played for the contact too,so where is the consistency. In fact the amount of penalties and free kicks United players earn by flicking their legs out to catch defenders is ridiculous.
Firstly how can Young be "looking for it" when he's running forward, with Ivanovic behind him, does he have a magical third eye in the back of his head ? He can't be looking for it, he's past the last defender, through on goal, there was a touch, at full speed, 9/10 players would fall over. Young might be a poven cheat, but was fouled in my view.
Secondly Torres is running towards the player, knows a tackle is coming, neatly nutmegs him, but realises Ferdinand (I think) has the ball covered, feels a touch and decides (despite the fact he has already been booked, and that his team are already a man short) to go down to get the free kick. Torres tried to cheat and was found out.

If these two incidents had resulted in Chelsea ending up with 9 men, and getting beaten by Southampton, this thread would be about 3 pages long. (In my opinion)
