Play 10 youth and Adam Johnson with Yewtree 15 on his shirt, show the BBC up for what they are!
I agree its high priority, but its a difficult fixture following the trip to Kiev, because its not Wednesday night, by the time we get back its well into Thursday morning, as the game doesn't finish until 23:30 local time. So unlikely that the players will train on Thursday as they'll not be home until nearly breakfast time, unless they stay the night there, train, then fly back, but that would mean upsetting the UK body clock. We then have Friday to train, and travel to London on Saturday.
Also Liverpool are at home in the EL, and will all be home by 9pm as its an early 6pm kick off.
The FA have royally shafted us with this FAC fixture, as I'm sure was fully intended.
Correct. The BBC decided that the game would fill the Sunday slot. The BBC rightly wants to get the most viewers for its money and isn't concerned about our fixture list. Sunday afternoon is the big slot. I do blame the FA for not having a clause protecting clubs in these situations though.I'm sure the FA just followed instructions from the BBC
'Play the kids' 'Play the kids' 'Play the kids'
Selects kids
'Why he's picking all the kids, we needs to win this, they'll get embarrassed, Pellegrini out'
I don't live in the UK so I might be wrong but aren't BBC public service? In that case they shouldn't care by number of views. At least not to the same extent as Sky, BT etc.Correct. But hopefully we will give a lot of youngsters a chance. Don't expect anything but a three goal defeat but who knows what will happen. Maybe 5 or 6 young players will show us a team willing to put up a fight for a change.
A spirited narrow defeat soured by injuries to Zabaleta and Kompany
