Chelsea vs City Post Match Thread

4:30AM kick-off over here in New Zealand - but well worth getting out of bed for. Our attacking play was a joy to watch most of the game. Just wish we'd stop making stupid short passes in our half though.
Thought Manual made the right decision taking Zabba off (even though he wasn't too pleased at being withdrawn)- we don't want him needlessly suspended when we have had such a terrible run with injuries and big games on the horizon.

Chelsea was awful. No leadership. It was a meaningless end of season game for them, but where was the pride. Wouldn't have happened in Lampard and JT's day.

City outplayed them, but Newcastle will be very different
'kinell Marvin....you bring despondency to an all new level.......any chance of an appearance at my funeral as chief mourner?

Fernandinho, slightly anonymous, but had to be because of YaYa, and Kolorov, did well going forward and getting back, apart from a couple of times when left exposed.

Hahaha!

You do know what "anonymous" means, right?? It doesn't mean "brilliant, as always."

Brilliant performance albeit against a poor Chelsea side. Wtf has happened to them this season? Anyhow, you can only beat what's in front of you and many times this season we've faced worse and lost!

Hopefully we can all now appreciate what Nasri brings to the team. He knits what we do together perfectly and what a sight it was to see him, KDB and Yaya weaving pretty patterns all over the place to bamboozle Chelsea into submission.

A special mention has to go out to Fernandinho, how much did we pay for him again? :-) Also I wish Pellegrini would sub Aguero earlier. The match was won and I didn't see the point in rinsing our hattrick hero any further.

Finally, I hate to say this but how nice was it not to see Bony take the field? I don't want to tempt fate but has the penny finally dropped with Pellegrini or will we see a return to 442 on Tuesday with Bony as one of the strikers?

The sad thing about this game is that towards the end of Aguero's career, everyone will talk about 'what might have been?"
Were it not for Aguero's injuries and the fact that he's playing for a 'new' big team, he would be placed on the same level as Suarez and Neymar.
He's going to turn 28 this year and has maybe 2-3 more years to win Ballon d'Or. Sadly I don't see it happening.
