Chelsea vs City Post Match Thread

You was doing so well after such a great result but still couldn't resist a dig towards MP........have a week off fella
One good week does not a summer make.

We were doing so well after a couple of great results until Manuel wasted 60 minutes of our lives playing a 442 with a badly out of form Bony as one of the strikers which effectively meant we were playing with 10 men. Manuel substitutes Bony, switches formation to what it should have been in the first place and hey presto another lame match turns into a much needed win, albeit one that was closer than it should have been.

This was self inflicted and for several other matches this season, just cut copy and paste the above as applicable. And just in case you've forgotten already, we're still 12 points behind Leicester City, out of the title race, still not beaten a top six opponent all season, are scrapping for fourth place, BUT we are in the CL semi's so I suppose the rest of the season is forgiven eh?

Great result and performance. I think KDB makes such a difference to us when he is playing as well as he is. His drive and speed of thought and directness transform our attack and allow the others to play. Thought Nasri worked really hard. Hope his injury doesn't keep him out long and he us back for Stoke. Yaya played well and was ever so humble in his interview. 'happy to play anywhere just to help the team'. Looking good though for the rest of the season and looking forward to Kun's 100th PL goal at Newcastle.

Quite petty of the BBC to have the headline "Aguero hat-trick sinks 10-man Chelsea"

It creates the impression that the red card was the reason we were able to win so convincingly, despite the fact that the score would have been exactly the same even if Courtois was only yellow carded.

What else is it going to put?

It only has limited space to sum up the match and always refers to a red card in its headlines.

Sums up the game pretty well, if you ask me.

So a 2-1 win is shit because in you're opinion it should have been more?

Behind Leicester granted but then so is everyone else, shit happens, someone wins the league and the rest dont, happens every year.

Is there a we beat the top 6 trophy now? getting all Liverpool like some of this. We are currently sat 3rd so dont give a fuck who we have or haven't beat, we are sat 3rd.

Scrapping for 3rd more like but then you would have to look for the positive in our position, something you're incapable of doing.

Correct, our run in the CL does forgive a few things this season, as does us winning the league cup as well.

@Danamy is right, have a week off and just enjoy the rest of the season.

I just couldn't wait for Sterling to replace Navas. If you watch the game, whenever the ball gets to Navas that's where the possession dies. Either it resulted in a corner (which we never score in a million years from) or he would cross it low right at the defender's feet. It's frustrating to watch KDB releasing Navas with an amazing pass and he does nothing with it. I don't get it, he's so quick but can never seem to take on his defender. He'd just sprint for half a yard, stops, and does that little sad stepover thing and pass it back. I am not slighting his defensive contribution, that part is superb. It's the other side that is concerning. Frankly if he doesn't show that much work rate on the defensive end, Navas might just be useless. He HAS to work that hard to warrant a place in the starting 11. In his 3 years here, he has like what? 20 assists? KDB almost reach that in his first year here. It's unacceptable for a winger in our amazing offense to have that few assists.

Oh dear!

Great performance
The 5 minutes after we scored the second were the most frightening we have looked all season.
If we come out with that attitude v RM we can definitely beat them
Coming into form just in time
Can't wait for the next game!
