Everton seem to be reasonably popular over here, never really known why. Went to Liverpool a few months back and there were a load of people with t-shirts from a Swedish Everton supporter club, weird stuff. I reckon part of it is because they're sort of the anti-liverpool in a way, but that logic works better for us with United I think since there really isn't the same rivalry between Liverpool and Everton. I mean obviously Everton aren't nearly as popular as Liverpool over here though, but still.

Same goes for City, also a pretty big club here among "the rest" I'd say. And with that I mean that I've met one or maybe two blues here in my life. :)

The rivalry on merseyside has become quite nasty over the years .
Not with us older fans ( I'm 40 btw ) but the new kids on the block on both sides are a bit of a let down .
I think Everton are popular because they stand for something different than a lot of teams . We are much more likeable for the right reasons for the most part .

Bollocks! It's a team like any other. :)

Moyes is a good example for those who want Hughes to stay though. (I'm still on the fence, defo willing to give him until christmas though).

I'll be rooting for Everton too but it's not a fixture I'm really excited about to be honest. I reckon it might be true that tonight was bad news for Everton though.

I'm an optimist .
After beating Boro , Villa , Luckypool and Untied , I look upon it as being a bad month for the Russian lmao :o)
