Chelski v Royals

Creaming over Hazard after 2 games against Wigan and Reading, Bluemoon drifts from one extreme to the other!

Lets judge him against the big boys eh!

City really are the slowest club in the Prem. Not that we rely on pace but it surprises me to remember how quick other teams are.

Some Reading players cant run.

Sturridge is ten times faster when he is only walking.

18 TEAMS Not much shy of most Euro leagues at the top level.

22 players a side play each week and squads are 38-42 in size.

The top players earn about as much as an average championship/ league one player does in a season.

No private ownership , salary caps and no transfer fees help keep most if not all clubs cash flow positive with minimal debt.

Players in what we call the second tier competition are mostly fully professional as well and are feeder clubs to their AFL equivalent.

92 teams in England, it wouldn't take long for a LOT of lower league teams to go bust if they showed all Premier league games live.
Plus the 100s of non league teams

Yeah I would say there were approximately 130-150 fully professional football teams in England alone. Then many many more semi-professional.

There is not much the FA get right, but not showing 3pm kick offs in order to give lower league teams a fighting chance is one thing they do get right.
