Donated. Great idea but must be a real sickener not to see City live in the flesh. Hopefully the club will do well out of it and it will help them over the coming uncertain months.
Cheltenham is quite an affluent town but most of the locals seem to be dipper fans with a fair number of United and Arsenal thrown in. The club was only promoted to the football league in 1999 and most of the local sporting passion seems reserved for Gloucester Rugby.I don’t think people should feel pressure to do this.
City is a wealthy club compared to cheltenham but that’s it . This is the fans doing it not the club.
the comparable wealth divide between Cheltenham and Manchester will be huge.
cheltenham is an affluent market town on the edge of the cotswolds . I am sure there are enough wealthy locals who could buy virtual tickets .
if you have got enough money to buy virtual tickets buy one for some of the greater Manchester clubs which are really struggling and often in deprived areas of gtr manchester.
sorry , I am sure not a popular opinion , but i have been to cheltenham and I have been to oldham !!!
Regardless of the average wealth in both areas, there are wealthy fans of both clubs and the there are poor fans of both clubs. However, without wishing to get into the 'my club is bigger than your club' argument, it's likely that City's fanbase is significantly larger than Cheltenham's and hence there will be, in terms of absolute numbers, more City fans who can afford to do this than Cheltenham fans.I don’t think people should feel pressure to do this.

Seems like a nice gesture and entirely voluntary so I didn't mind doing it, given that I'm in the fortunate position of having a tenner to spare for things such as this. I'm well aware that others are not and shouldn't feel that they need to make the gesture if they don't want to or are not able to.
That's a nice article.from out local rag
