Not a Corrie watcher but after a quick Google of ''Chesney'' and his girlfriend, I can concur that it is indeed not realistic.

Saw her at the Take That concert last year in the corporate with Fizz off Corrie,they are both stunning looking in the flesh,so to speak,especially Fizz,they make her look dowdy in Corrie.
I was working at the concert stewarding,but TT were very good,puts tin hat on....
