Some stories really cut deep. This is one of them. I cannot stop thinking of that poor boy.
To be fair though I don't think the social worker is at fault here. It seems she kept trying to get someone to act.
Sorry but the mum of 10 and the blokes other adult kids who couldn't be arsed to check on an innocent toddler living with a former homeless man with a health problems over Christmas in these days of social media trumps any police, social worker incompetence.
Apparently the mum has had her say, it’s all Society’s fault, none of her making.It doesn’t. The mum will be a complete dumb-arse. It can’t be overstated just how underdeveloped a large part of our society is. The social workers are more intelligent and are in their position to specifically stop this from happening.
Services are stretched and this is the deeply tragic consequence.
More money is of course one thing but I do wonder if we should consider granting more legal power under the care act to have power of entry for example.
