Chris Foy

I think the Aguero penalty appeal was a free kick, initial contact was outside the box, Tevez's was stonewall though. Foy is the worst of a bad bunch of Premier League referees at the moment, was it not him who put in a woeful performance against Wolves at home earlier in the season? Again that was a game where a convincing win masked a horrific display. But that just goes to show that if we play well enough then poor refereeing can't stop us.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter where the initial contact was - if the foul is still occurring by the time they're in the box (and it was), it should be a penalty.

You're mistaken mate. It's where the initial offence takes place......

Tevez's yellow card was a disgrace
can it be quashed by the FA ?

I'm not sure, but should be allowed to appeal at least! But with our track record with the FA it's not worth bothering about, and just be glad he wasn't brought down in the box again for his second Yellow!

worst referee in the prem and that is fucking saying something, i'm sure some spurs fans would agree also.

Is there a thread about him yet? Sorry if there is.

He was wank, tried his best but unfortunately for him we were better.

In a tight game he might have made the difference, the 6-1 scoreline will help to disguise yet another inept referees' performance, but I'd just like to highlight the fact he still got any big decision he had to make wrong.

Yep agreed could actually see a daft red card coming our way, nasri booking was also a joke. It was the first tackle he put in all game and isn't a dirty player by any stretch.
I think the tevez one just shows it is a guessing game for the refs now. Technology needs to come in. Surely the yellow card could be recinded within 2 mins if they had a ref with a tv monitor in the stands ???
So why persist with human error as the excuse???

If I was a cynic I'd suggest that most of the prem refs are pretty competent but are actually under orders.

Battering teams makes the ref a bit redundant. He did try early on though.

Horrible, horrible official. I would say that I can't believe they still give him games, but it's the FA we're dealing with so I'm hardly surprised.

Tevez's booking was ridiculous, and it's frustrating that the decision can't be rescinded. Not that it really matters I suppose, as we went on to win and Tevez isn't going to pick up a suspension for yellow cards received before the end of the season.

Nasri's booking was soft as well, seems a recurring trend this season that our players get booked for first offences whilst opposition players tend to get away with it.

Foy proceded to give a few marginal, meaningless decisions our way as if to compensate. Maybe it's just incompetence, maybe he realised he fucked up, or maybe he was happy to give irrelevant decisions to us but not anything significant. Certainly not a penalty at 0-0.
