Always thought he was a bully and sinfully unfunny. That sort of comment was inappropriate twenty years ago, just as it remains today. Apart from the sexual inappropriateness, imagine the embarrassment for a fifteen year old girl to hear that about something she probably held dear (as most women do) on national radio. It always pissed me off he came on the Radio after Mark and Lard, the radio went off and the Sony Minidisc went on, how he ended the highest paid DJ on Radio 1 is beyond me tbh, never got him at all, came across as the gobby fat **** he was.No idea how the bloke had a career that lasted longer than the 1990s, never mind into the 2020s!
