The retailers tell us when we should be thinking about Christmas (people have started putting up lights etc) but the day after Christmas they tell it's all over (used to be 12 days) and those who had Christmas lights up since November take them down.
Christmas is whatever you want it to be and whatever you make it. If you let TV advertisers and what retailers do spoil it for you then that's your problem. The retailers tell us when we should be thinking about Christmas (people have started putting up lights etc) but the day after Christmas they tell it's all over (used to be 12 days) and those who had Christmas lights up since November take them down.
I don’t buy them.Don't buy them then. If everyone ignored the pies when they first come out then they would all go off. Huge loss, not doing that again.
Unfortunately there are shoppers who buy anything new. Like my missus. Oooh mince pies, my husband likes mince pies, I shall buy a pack.
happy holiday'sMerry Christmas everyone.
Don’t they both show what’s on the other side anyway? Personally stopped buying either of them, used to get the RT at Christmas when they were forced to have all the channel listings, but realised these days I watch so little stuff and was just circling about three programmes over the festive period. It's not Xmas proper yet until you have the TV and radio times at hand where you can circle and plan what to watch over the festive period.
