Christmas eve shooting on Merseyside

Wow. 48 years. Is it me or are murder sentences getting longer?? Good news mind. His life is over. 23 and 71 if he every gets out. No sex, no kids, no football, no pints, no holidays, just a living hell. I would rather be dead.
No sex? Are you sure?!

You’re obsessed with me, honestly I am not that interesting, you need to move on with your life. Though someone who posts over 29000 times on here probably hasn’t got one outside this site.
You’re right about one thing that you’re not interesting.
It does amuse me that I seem to irritate you so much though.
You’d be surprised at my life tbh, but unlike you I’m not so insecure that I feel the need to boast about it.
If you want to post complete bollocks on here that’s up to you but don’t be surprised when people call you out on it.

His life should be over.

Sentences have been increasing pretty much on a way one trajectory for over 20 years. It’s the public perception that has changed. Mainly due to the way the press jump all over individual cases where there appears to have been a lenient sentence.

Every major city is blighted by violence associated with drugs. According to Interpol, 86% of ALL crime is drug related, and until we formulate a drugs policy that is based on what is needed, rather than fear of losing votes, we will continue to have innocent victims murdered and maimed. I hope the family can now find some sense of peace from the unimaginable pain of the passing of a daughter; it must be the worst fear for any parent.
Absolutely spot on. Decriminalisation is the way forward, but politicians are paralysed with the fear of losing votes, rather than change a perpetually failing policy that is the ludicrous: 'War on Drugs.'

I always have a wry smile on my face when I hear news of 'busts' that have led to the arrest of (place utterly insignificant figure here) men across the Greater Manchester area in dawn raids, and have seized drugs worth (place utterly insignificant figure here), followed by some inane comment by a police spokesperson about how: 'This shows we will never tire in our quest to bring these individuals who blight our streets to justice and blah, blah, blah.' The sole purpose of such 'news' is simply to give the impression that the police have a handle on things, when everybody knows it's just political propaganda.

That's why I disagree with the death sentence, I bet he wishes he had that option right now

There are some reasons why I dont agree with the death sentence, mostly around miscarriages of justice, but in this case its all rather clear.
The cost of keeping that scum banged up is around £47k per year so a 48yr sentence will cost around £2.25m. I can think of better ways to spend £2.25m on good causes.

If you ever watch these Police Programmes such as 24 hours in Police Custody whether the Police proceed with a prosecution is down to some Clerk in the DPP. The Police have to almost beg their case The Police know who are in these gangs and what they are doing. Instead of fucking about playing to the Queensbury Rules get M15 to plant the evidence in the car and then in a routine stop by the Police or acting on intelligence, there are arms, drugs, or unaccountable cash found in the car. Hey presto they are banged up to rights for a few years and off the streets
You clearly know your stuff.

True, but a bigger deterrent to me would be 48 years in prison than the death sentence.
Maybe if prison was harsher costs would decrease

Didsbury..whatever you call yourself you’re being a bit pretentious saying I would be surprised with what you have done, why even bother mentioning it. However we agree on something I am not interesting enough for you to trawl through my old posts so why do you bother. You are a non entity to me what ever you have done with your life who says the same old predictable things over and over again on the politics thread in the guaranteed knowledge you will get a few likes off your cronies who probably don’t even read what you have said. So for the avoidance of doubt I really don’t give a shit what you have done with your life but if the number of posts you do on here are an indication, not much more than spend all your time moaning on here about others.
