Christmas eve shooting on Merseyside

If you ever watch these Police Programmes such as 24 hours in Police Custody whether the Police proceed with a prosecution is down to some Clerk in the DPP. The Police have to almost beg their case The Police know who are in these gangs and what they are doing. Instead of fucking about playing to the Queensbury Rules get M15 to plant the evidence in the car and then in a routine stop by the Police or acting on intelligence, there are arms, drugs, or unaccountable cash found in the car. Hey presto they are banged up to rights for a few years and off the streets

What was even worse in this case was the Defence Solicitor, pleading mitigation. What mitigation could he possibly plead. He has been found guilty, you will be paid a vast sum of money, it will look good on your CV, just say nothing to say in mitigation your Honour, other than just lock him up and throw away the Key which is what your going to do in any case.

I live on the Wirral (obviously) and the big problem is the nasty estates feuding with each other. The Woodchurch has been shit for decades. You’ll read about it in Awaydays.

Chapman is off the streets but there’s still that air of young men thinking they’re untouchable. There’s so much more to life.
How much of the feuding is over drug-dealing turf wars?

I get a bit confused at times. I haven’t read everything but when any one says anything about his parents they say mother is really nice.
So how come no questions asked about a stolen Merc parked up outside her house for the previous 2 weeks.
This term “ close knit community “ is that another coded saying for they are all as bad as each other.
The reason I ask is my first thoughts were when this poor innocent bystander gets shot dead it could have been anyone.
It subsequently emerges that the two intended targets who were part of a rival group and who had badly beaten up one of the assassins gang the previous day were very good friends to the girl who got shot and happened to be stood next to her talking at the time of the shooting.
Now in a close knit community you would think she would know who the baddies were and stay well clear of them.
I just wonder whether her father, who is also in the close knit community knew these two lads and thinks if they had not beat up this rival gang member none of this would have happened. You have to thing that famous saying by James Anderton swirling around in a cesspit of their own making may be appropriate in these close knit communities.
Just saying like, for areas where out and out thugs are seen as some sort of hero’s
Yeah its the old story of he was a great father and loved his kids which he hasn't seen for months or bought any clothing for them ever . I remember watching a program about a lad who was in a bad way after a stabbing and years later died from the injury. He would not help the police even though he knew who it was . Then his father was on tv actually crying and blaming the police for not catching the culprit. Absolutely bonkers.

No idea. I’d imagine that or other types of crime are to blame.

A few of us one night were sharing stories of the shit we’ve endured from scrote teenagers on bikes bombing between the estates.

I saw the Order Of Service for those two Cardiff lads.
On the front was a motorbike.
Who on earth would have a picture of the thing that killed them on the front of their kids funeral plan.
Then there was all their support group filming the funeral , who films a funeral.
Finally I dread to think who paid for the 8 Rolls Royces and the rest of the Corsage
The Police quire rightly stayed away, no doubt to be called for when it kicked off at the wake. Two Police Officers suspended, there’s little wonder the lunatics are allowed to run the asylum.why would anyone risk their career for doing the right thing.

And force a retrial where he could potentially get a not guilty because he didn’t do his job.

Of course he wouldn’t say throw away the key, I was exaggerating but saying stuff like using his age of 23 and saying the body doesn’t mature until 25 as a defence, and she wasn’t the intended victim kind of seems irrelevant when someone spays a crowded pub with a sub machine gun.

It's a weird thing that people grieve or see family as saints when really they are cunts . I see a shrine/place where a **** died. He did and would have caused misery to many for possibly ever while he was alive. Live by the sword die by the sword.

It is literally the job of both councils to offer mitigating circumstances for and against before sentencing. The judge instructs them to do so. It is part of the process that makes the criminal justice system tick along and give everyone a fair trial.

Everyone, including the guy himself, knows whatever he said wasn’t going to make the slightest bit of difference in a case like this. But it is vitally important the process is followed strictly in every case, or you’re on a slippery slope.
